I have some of these left to sell on Saturday's craft fair at my house. Yay!<br />
<br />
These are very popular for giving to little children.. Its a mini mailbox to be used to leave your letter to Santa on Christmas Eve. I decorated each Target mailbox (you have to raid their stash in the dollar bin around Valentines day) and then glued it to the glass candlestick. Then I added a Mama Elephant Santa and some Island Scrapbooking laser cuts. On the door, I added a decorative bow and inside there is some candy for the recipient. I'm so excited to make these this year! The 4 I made last year completely sold out so quickly that I was glad to have more available this year. I have to remember to save one for Akemi!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/ExioUtvyo1g?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>
<br />
<br />
Another brain child I came up with this year is altered lunch bags I found at the target dollar bin. I'm telling you, the target dollar bin is a gold mine for crafters! I made all the flowers that were attached to the bags and they have been selling pretty good so far. I only have a few left from last weekend and will be making a few more with the stock I have on hand for this weekend.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<object width="320" height="266" class="BLOGGER-youtube-video" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/na_PB1JJWm0/0.jpg"><param name="movie" value="https://www.youtube.com/v/na_PB1JJWm0?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><embed width="320" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/v/na_PB1JJWm0?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></div>
<br />
Here's some altered bags I made originally for my daughter's birthday party last summer. All of her friends loved them! So I decided to make some for the craft fair this year. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/I0wwapMlY6M?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>
<br />
More altered canvas bags I made for the fair...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/KFzvEfpMOLQ?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
Hmmm, not sure why the thumbnail is not working here... Anyway this video features my altered mirrored compacts and teacher gift sets I made this year... Teacher gift sets always seem to sell so well here. I think parents with young children are always looking for gifts for teachers at Christmas.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/yo1vMlQTAEQ?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>
<br />
I still have calendars to show here too... will post those shortly. See ya soon!<br />

<br />
Just finished up a craft fair last weekend at the Manono Marketplace and sold out of quite a few items... but I thought I'd share them here with you anyway, please check out my videos below. I'm making more of some of these and may have some available at my craft fair this Saturday (at my house).<br />
<br />
Here's my manicure sets in altered burlap bags... Ran out of this sized bag, so I'm making more in mason jars...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<object width="320" height="266" class="BLOGGER-youtube-video" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/13NiQQhj_nA/0.jpg"><param name="movie" value="https://www.youtube.com/v/13NiQQhj_nA?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><embed width="320" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/v/13NiQQhj_nA?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></div>
<br />
These were some clip containers that I made too. These surprisingly sold out!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/wc4sL1u2GYo?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>
<br />
Made these stationary bag sets and paper clip jars... paper clip jars all sold out but I still have some of the stationary bag sets available for Saturday.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/uGOjDjA4ApE?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>
<br />
Insulated cups filled with candy... These sold out so quickly! I guess its a great gift idea!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/iFwLA4XFUUM?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>
<br />

Sorry I've been a bit MIA. I been busy getting ready for craft fairs, another Sister Stamps Release and then my internet went down!!! But I'm almost back to normal and I can share the last Crafty Friends Swap that happened last month when our friend Rina Scrapstress joined us in Hawaii. Hi Rina!!! We had so much fun at lunch and sharing all our projects. We were excited that Jo Paperdrama joined in the swap even though she couldn't make it. Next time Jo!<br />
<br />
I think this video will explain the different embellishments better than I can write about them, so please check out everyone's amazing projects here...<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Well, it's been awhile since I last blogged. Sorry for the absence, but craft fair season is right around the corner, so I've been crafting, just haven't really had the energy to update my blog. Although I'm in "mass production mode" (aka I have a lot of unfinished projects in the works), I thought I'd share an older project that I did for my friend Cami.. (Hi Cami!)<br />
<br />
Cami's birthday was last month and because I only get to see her when I go visit Oahu, I had to plan ahead and get my project done for her birthday. We had already agreed on the clipboard swap (see previous post) so I had to get that done too, but I still wanted to make something for my friend. We decided to deviate from our usual dim sum and go to Tsukiji's for lunch. It was good! Now I know why it's Cami's favorite!<br />
<br />
On to the project... I had found this alarm clock from Ross awhile ago and had always meant to alter it.... Then I saw <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PByNJk9QAo8&list=UU9xkDtgmhr0GeufkUlqil0A">Sabrina's clocks</a>, which inspired me to dig mine out of the closet and make one too! My biggest challenge was the painting. It was a really dark color- not sure if it was brown or black, but you get the idea. It took several coats of gesso and paint to get it the color that I wanted. I went with white since then I could accent it with any color flowers. Here's how my clock came out... <br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8bhPUI_fVB596q1Db2vK7y0Ws4zTiiO_xyZRm42IDOPRpVlxlB8fUItaQ6YE9tXNiyQtyeQhqhNDe0RnVuAZOVfDHDTTTpBZDAOoxx0rXxNieeZk-hMEJQwAO1C3SgieiFbqKfea_7Nju/s1600/IMG_3992.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8bhPUI_fVB596q1Db2vK7y0Ws4zTiiO_xyZRm42IDOPRpVlxlB8fUItaQ6YE9tXNiyQtyeQhqhNDe0RnVuAZOVfDHDTTTpBZDAOoxx0rXxNieeZk-hMEJQwAO1C3SgieiFbqKfea_7Nju/s1600/IMG_3992.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I think I shared earlier that Cami loves Magnolia images, so I decided to use some of my new stamps on her clock. These girls are growing on me! I think its cause they really match the whole shabby chick thing.<br />
<br />
I found some of my little birds and added a pink one to the handle. (oops, you can really see the glue there!) <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgERTTExhXsFKIDno9a3s57z0ALRBkcFleD_CZBp28zGTjO15P1BGIw9qvCoBy_s4pEeAOvsVQur4NFtG236ugz9xDDk3SlltzuQFJc9SUN1rPyJHizzyrFVi94be_hJrKrZz259jHmuwlA/s1600/IMG_3993.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgERTTExhXsFKIDno9a3s57z0ALRBkcFleD_CZBp28zGTjO15P1BGIw9qvCoBy_s4pEeAOvsVQur4NFtG236ugz9xDDk3SlltzuQFJc9SUN1rPyJHizzyrFVi94be_hJrKrZz259jHmuwlA/s1600/IMG_3993.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I added this Tilda stamp on top of the clock. It was fun to play around and add her to the outside of the project. I stamped her with a brown ink before coloring and really like the results. BTW- all flowers are by petaloo, Wild Orchid Crafts, and Prima.. oh and some from Downtown LA.<br />

Here's a better look at the main image. I think she's one of my favorites. Do you also see that teapot stickpin? Love it! <br />

Sorry, this shot is a bit difficult to see. I used a piece of silver mirrored cardstock and embossed the sentiment in white. I like this new stamp set I got from Simon Says Stamp called <a href="http://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product.aspx?id=305646&c=906">W plus 9</a>. I thought the sentiments in the set were cute and matched this project. I was kinda worried about the embossing on mirrored cardstock, but it seemed to come out ok. Oh yah, that pearl star is from DIY boutique. Love it!<br />

Hey Peeps! I can't believe the weekend is over already. I didn't get as much done as I wanted to, but at least I started on some craft fair projects.<br />
<br />
Just wanted to share my friends projects from our altered clipboard swap! If you would like to see the clipboard I created, check out Linda's video <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uutVhiaSO6s">here.</a>... and if you want to see what Cami made for me, visit my channel <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8zSsWi-ibk&list=UUJrCPjLYEbKBbEV_KmrdoWQ">here</a>...<br />
<br />
Sorry, I guess I didn't take photos of Cami's clipboard for me, but you can watch the video! Ok now I did get pictures of Kyoko's and Linda's clipboard projects. First up is Kyoko's... So cute! Love that her Magnolia is on a swing! I think it was a separate stamp from the Tilda image but it looks like is from the same stamp.<br />
<br />

Again, don't forget to check out my video to see Cami's project!<br />
<br />
Hopefully I'll have more projects to share soon!Jennyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18244983833027207496noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7878332889514534980.post-47737723325872337362014-09-06T10:07:00.002-10:002014-09-06T10:07:57.724-10:00Crafty Friends Swap #4- Altered Clipboard<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Phew! I sure had a hard time recovering from the Labor Day weekend! I guess I'm getting old cause I could totally handle before, but I feel like I've been a zombie this whole week! Thank goodness I only had to work 4 days after the holiday before my next day off!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
So during my trip, I got together with my crafty peeps so that we could share our swap projects. This time we headed to Tsukiji restaurant for some yummy sushi and other goodies. I tell you, it's always best to go with Mrs. Lum cause she will always get us the best table, etc. LOL!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
After lunch, we shared our swap projects with each other. This time it was Kyoko's pick and she decided on an altered clipboard. The "rules" this time around was that we had to have the following on our project:</div>
<br />
<ul>
<li>Magnolia image</li>
<li>Pearls</li>
<li>Lace</li>
<li>Ribbon</li>
<li>Use the color red</li>
</ul>
Let me tell ya, I was stumped for awhile. I think mainly because I had just used red on my last project for Cami's canvas and didn't want my next project to look the same. Plus the clip part was scaring me a bit since its hard to cover the clipboard with the clip portion in the way.<br />
<br />
So we almost postponed the swap because everyone was having a hard time with it... especially Linda! She said she stayed up to 3:00am the night before trying to finish it. I will share everyone else's project in my next post.<br />
<br />
So we decided that since this was a bigger project, we would only make it for one person (not all 3). Kyoko told us our swap partner would be the person that made our canvas for us, so last time I had Cami, she would make for me... Lind made the canvas for me, so I make for her. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
After starting my project, stopping, looking at it, then scrapping it... I finally got inspired and put the decoration portion of it together in one night. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOXsPREv1hqMMBrzi7fQ5PSN-f8o8G12HH4B2pZiHdSw78AY5vddWOAHaVs9h552KhRX7zpSMeLHBQJy0CUVREa3-JyPtzq0dnO7gAAXUFetA6-eN5M9TlSQDyHEjVT1thksqGSVyO3uLR/s1600/IMG_3977.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></div>
<br />
I started off by painting the clipboard around the edge with gesso, then white acrylic paint. that way, I didn't have to worry about sizing the paper all the way to the edge since the clipboard portion would be in the way. After that dried, I used some of that wood looking paper (sorry I think it's by Kaisercraft but it's kinda old). I decided to go mostly white and cream with red accents. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUOPvuK1TV_YAkiLZHPiYUKG6X9dIkuTV9G5yK2KYvhD4_cGXv0n3UdGq67Ev38ij323cWURR7duFW1DAV8aC2wWo8YXMeudXlX-34S51bqYa5vOIeuwBI7tbEBrvQVBxPkVyC2GcdEmDd/s1600/IMG_3978.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUOPvuK1TV_YAkiLZHPiYUKG6X9dIkuTV9G5yK2KYvhD4_cGXv0n3UdGq67Ev38ij323cWURR7duFW1DAV8aC2wWo8YXMeudXlX-34S51bqYa5vOIeuwBI7tbEBrvQVBxPkVyC2GcdEmDd/s1600/IMG_3978.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Pictured above is the lace I used to dangle from the bottom of the clipboard. I love that trim. Really need to find me some more of that. Then I also put some of that small daisy trim around the edges so that you don't notice the paint job too much. (It's all about layering!) Then I added a resin frame that I got from Prima ArtVenture when we went to LA last January. I really wanted to use the Mangolia that is peeking around the corner, so I used the frame as the base for her to peek from. Then I layered one of the wood "friends" that I picked up from SaCrafters on Zibbet. I just ran the wood across my black Archival ink pad to give it the black color.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDPF98yd1fBrjHXe_NJHSYcFde04d8WnEc12XwrE4yHkE3YS0lzCP0zR5eISnJV3sXc4oLUGn0mVLsidPbcJCihrHx9jxJT7ZySEoLIiB65b7HJ4p3dWGHrUXQ0lyoJgL6zAwSlA8siX-S/s1600/IMG_3979.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDPF98yd1fBrjHXe_NJHSYcFde04d8WnEc12XwrE4yHkE3YS0lzCP0zR5eISnJV3sXc4oLUGn0mVLsidPbcJCihrHx9jxJT7ZySEoLIiB65b7HJ4p3dWGHrUXQ0lyoJgL6zAwSlA8siX-S/s1600/IMG_3979.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Here's a better look at the image. I think she's my favorite. Oh, and there's the pearl heart! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh14DZo3LHFc2Za_SkvuN2I8lW5AVu7bWzkMgGg3W8zfvbll7I4p8SPzdWEkaIWgjNICk3K0-RsJ-ZYWI9Lfp7JZ61XPqSdiNfz7Ve_34KhP91j_kXhyQviicNJew3tzUJ-jf9JJGYmG5H6/s1600/IMG_3980.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh14DZo3LHFc2Za_SkvuN2I8lW5AVu7bWzkMgGg3W8zfvbll7I4p8SPzdWEkaIWgjNICk3K0-RsJ-ZYWI9Lfp7JZ61XPqSdiNfz7Ve_34KhP91j_kXhyQviicNJew3tzUJ-jf9JJGYmG5H6/s1600/IMG_3980.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I made the cream colored roses awhile ago and decided to use them on this project. I had added some glitter too for a frosty look. You can also see the pearl bling and acrylic flower I used in the cluster. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhhGLYveNmi4qgsqq3FmbPjHQ8ggOc5kqWBjyXdIflLDTdSUW184PHp3UD_Sn-LU9stEUwgNgIY3-EvhdBsuMDCwYnomZRVFALl19-rNVwcAj6nQRXq64RrIjzMrccgYd63Pw8Nx66RXpk/s1600/IMG_3981.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhhGLYveNmi4qgsqq3FmbPjHQ8ggOc5kqWBjyXdIflLDTdSUW184PHp3UD_Sn-LU9stEUwgNgIY3-EvhdBsuMDCwYnomZRVFALl19-rNVwcAj6nQRXq64RrIjzMrccgYd63Pw8Nx66RXpk/s1600/IMG_3981.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And I had completely forgot about the ribbon, so good thing I checked the guidelines again. Just added a bow made with seam binding onto the clip portion and then a red rose in the center.<br />

In case you were wondering.. yes we did have a Crafty Friends Swap again.. This time it was my choice. I decided to challenge everyone (including myself!) to make an altered canvas. The criteria was to include a Gorjuss Girl image since I'm totally addicted to them, do t up in vintage theme/colors, needed to include a word or sentiment, and include at least one handmade embellishment. Cami had given us some 5x7 canvas boards earlier, so we decided to make our canvases that size. Considering this was my idea, I had a hard time! <br />
<br />
Because everyone was a little intimidated by this challenge, we decided to just make one canvas and pick names. That in and of itself was an ordeal. We must've picked like 4 times before we had it so no one picked themselves! LOL! I ended up picking Cami and was excited to get to work.<br />
<br />
Now whenever I think of Cami, I always think of pastels, so this was a bit of a challenge for me. I started off by cutting some music sheet paper but ended up not using it on the front. I used it to cover the back instead. Instead, I opted for the stationer's desk paper by Prima. Since there were touches of red in that paper, I decided to use red as my accent color. <br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
For some reason, when I think vintage, I think Paris and the Eiffel Tower. I cut out one using my La La Land die- love that Eiffel Tower die! Then colored up the Ladybird Gorjuss Girl image.. she's one of my faves. The handmade embellishment I used was that crochet flower you see in the corner. added some twine and a flower center to the middle. Around it is a cluster of roses and some pearls.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Recently, I purchased some wood pieces from SaCrafters. I love her stuff. The Friends pieces comes plain, so I just rubbed the front against my archival black in pad and it seemed to do the trick. The sentiment below was from a PTI set. Below is the other cluster I added for balance. Included a doily, more roses and a metal butterfly piece I got awhile ago from Butterbee Scraps. I'm finally using them!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Since I also love hearts, I added some crystal hearts to the project. I also added some black lace and a long crystal flourish. I think it was a Recollections brand? Not sure. I gotta say, once I got going.. it was really fun to make! Now I wish I made one for myself! But I was very excited to see what my friends came up with...<br />
<br />
We met up at 99 Ranch (that's a whole 'nother story that I'm not gonna cover) Market and had lunch while we shared our projects. Kyoko went all out and made this beautiful canvas for Linda. I was so jelly! I wanted that one too! Love how she did it portrait style. I found out that Linda asked for her canvas to be in blue. <br />
<br />

<br />
Her coloring's getting good!!!! Love it! And love that she included green with the blue! One of my favorite combos.<br />
<br />

<br />
Next up is Cami's canvas for Kyoko. Cami always makes pretty packaging to go with her project. Love the box in the back!<br />
<br />

<br />
Here's the canvas for Kyoko. That color scheme is so pretty!<br />

<br />
Here's a close up of the image. Even her dress is Gorjuss!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
I believe she made those flowers. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLA2xQIeHn4Xx_S_97YiFvlms8Pl_fFQZLrUyPqR_wYmG6WHt27i4N8WyaU2gTguA5k3mEYN9KsuVsF29KQWAQ0VhZu5YQGTAbAQQkR0KdyE8UjDUZDhe44XcJ5NnmDoWiNI_8DTAZk0qy/s1600/IMG_3780.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLA2xQIeHn4Xx_S_97YiFvlms8Pl_fFQZLrUyPqR_wYmG6WHt27i4N8WyaU2gTguA5k3mEYN9KsuVsF29KQWAQ0VhZu5YQGTAbAQQkR0KdyE8UjDUZDhe44XcJ5NnmDoWiNI_8DTAZk0qy/s1600/IMG_3780.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
She probably made these too. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmnDWVVLhIQ-VOP7PkUhFIJaWDROmpjOV-zNwi5Tgf08wnPKOSQZfRZI1sAq7Z0udv1N6InjMXSDII3v_P1tAeSLR63XL5NVMPJPs_TqPwA233v2ShGSJlxvzJXHHpxbvS6BxW3PUJJbOc/s1600/IMG_3781.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmnDWVVLhIQ-VOP7PkUhFIJaWDROmpjOV-zNwi5Tgf08wnPKOSQZfRZI1sAq7Z0udv1N6InjMXSDII3v_P1tAeSLR63XL5NVMPJPs_TqPwA233v2ShGSJlxvzJXHHpxbvS6BxW3PUJJbOc/s1600/IMG_3781.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And there's her sentiment. She used frantage to accent it. Still haven't used mine yet.. LOL!<br />
<br />

I gotta figure out how she made those beaded sprays. Super cute! And do you see that white leaf? That's made from those mod podge melts. I feel bad cause Linda RAK'd that too me awhile ago and I haven't tried them yet. I'm scared when it comes to new things.<br />

Overall I'm so proud of all of us! We've really stretched ourselves and managed to accomplish things we never thought we could do! (patting us on the back). Seriously, if you have some crafty friends, you should do swaps. It really does inspire you and push you to new crafty levels! Thanks again ladies for another great swap!Jennyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18244983833027207496noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7878332889514534980.post-71803597115674891322014-08-22T00:00:00.000-10:002014-08-22T00:00:04.325-10:00RAKs for my Crafty Friends<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

See.. told you I've been crafting! Just not posting! Sorry about that.. but I have some time now and I'm trying to catch up on posts to show you what I've made. I think I mentioned this before but we are not supposed to buy any RAKs for each other.. we can only give each other food items or handmade items.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
First up are some shaped tags that were inspired by Tmika. You can check out her blog <a href="http://scrapdaworld.blogspot.com/2014/07/shaped-gift-tag-swap-open.html">here</a>... and her YT channel <a href="https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCID7LOp07nJ966tTDquUvrA">here</a>. She's one of my favorites to watch! She's so cute- makes me want to make everything she makes. She hosted a swap that I was too chicken to enter, but I still wanted to play along, so I just made my own and shared them with my friends. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhK6wWxGuiKStE4t6VM6sIe1IBy8wIOVLeEg-RvCBThlxSQYwSIN-nx1ZCdg8KWBgsfvlzC-dSmpKvTD1FAovYPVVTOMZQks7Pu5pJBZ48vOOx-88NvmvhtOJifoAM5Qt24j-SJwgAdymha/s1600/IMG_3632.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhK6wWxGuiKStE4t6VM6sIe1IBy8wIOVLeEg-RvCBThlxSQYwSIN-nx1ZCdg8KWBgsfvlzC-dSmpKvTD1FAovYPVVTOMZQks7Pu5pJBZ48vOOx-88NvmvhtOJifoAM5Qt24j-SJwgAdymha/s1600/IMG_3632.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I cannot take credit for these. I saw the mason jar on her video and someone posted the bubble gum machine tag on her facebook page as a share. I loved both of them and really wanted to make some! I still want to make the teacup one too.. need to try that out soon!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRp-8NQvI_IKPld5KnBGw8JjFsluVTHyRXKjMgCaQsWviStBXH3qV9QPVaz6h0Tnx4JLSfWH26PiZSmQOdiK2xV8agCcFl6A79Nvs9bvY-tAc2Zkp3JzKs4Ou270F-Cpp19K1u9mlffac7/s1600/IMG_3768.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRp-8NQvI_IKPld5KnBGw8JjFsluVTHyRXKjMgCaQsWviStBXH3qV9QPVaz6h0Tnx4JLSfWH26PiZSmQOdiK2xV8agCcFl6A79Nvs9bvY-tAc2Zkp3JzKs4Ou270F-Cpp19K1u9mlffac7/s1600/IMG_3768.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The other thing I gave them was some altered clothespins. The first group of clothespins were inspired by my friend <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PwOho7Nnylw&list=UUs2VU3IiCherqJhXPDs918A">Rina Scrapstress</a>!! She made some cute flowers using shells as the center, so I copied her use of shells onto this clothespin. I used the Prima Seashore paper and corrugated stack by DCWV for the hearts. Included some cheesecloth and twine before adding the shells and pearls. I love how they came out!<br />

<br />
And also gave them some handmade flowers. CreativeKelly4rmCali did a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WmjrczCdXPs&list=UUhT8bPkdaqgAgfmI8wlBK9A">tutorial</a> on how to make kanzashi flowers that copied. <br />
For a little while I was using my iphone as my planner, but after about a year, I realized that it just doesn't work that well for me. I guess I'm a visual person and it helps me to see everything coming up on my schedule. So I jumped on the planner bandwagon after watching some of Nadine's videos (hi Nadine!!). If you haven't checked her out yet, you need to. She's hilarious! Now I'm in no way as hardcore as a lot of others out there, but I do enjoy decorating my planner!<br />
<br />
The Erin Condren planners really appealed to me. I was thinking about getting one anyway... and then I saw a preview video on YT that said that... wait for it... you can change out your covers!!!! Yippeeeeeeee! SOLD! So I placed my order and patiently waited for my planner to arrive. Above is a photo of what came in my box. I know you must think I'm nuts, but I got the pink/platinum combo and then bought another cover in the same design but gold and mint. Love it!!<br />
<br />
The other thing that I got really excited about was my new Magical Beans kit by The Greeting Farm. I got the set from Jamie at Not 2 Shabby and do not regret it one bit! Each image is so darn cute! Since they are "magical" I decided to color them up with colorful hair... <br />
<br />

<br />
Then I had some creative block and didn't know what to do with them... I looked over at my planner and then the light bulb came on.... Hello!? Put them in your planner!!! Here's how I used them... I think the mermaid is one of my faves, so she gets to go on the inside cover!<br />

Ahhhh, I'm back! Yes, I know I'm MIA again, but I have been crafting! Today I have a special project to share with you. My nieces were flying in from LA and both of them play the violin, so when I saw these from SaCrafter's Zibbet site, I couldn't resist. It was just too perfect a project to make for them.<br />
<br />
When you get the kit, it comes with several layers of the outline of the violin and one of the backing. I wasn't sure if I was going to make it a shaker box or not, so I glued most of the layers together and kept one separate just in case I wanted to put acetate in between. I'm not a painter, so this is the junkest part for me.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiA7_admbtEinWnXL2AG7gU42Jqqv9yysSMxFXRcoqM6yocRUhPaxkALFAX5L1T030de2WdmJZqDLQp5Zx9LOlx1-073cn01kk61B3Rc76TAA1hbn0kWZ2K4pOVIvVmIQoHYFLa-VKkOaVz/s1600/IMG_3858.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiA7_admbtEinWnXL2AG7gU42Jqqv9yysSMxFXRcoqM6yocRUhPaxkALFAX5L1T030de2WdmJZqDLQp5Zx9LOlx1-073cn01kk61B3Rc76TAA1hbn0kWZ2K4pOVIvVmIQoHYFLa-VKkOaVz/s1600/IMG_3858.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
After all the paint was dry, I was finally able to get to the fun part... decorating! Here's what I came up with... <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6Tk81FQsVK08_n5KpNPb8UL8Lo0fUcGH0AH1S0A6l5b8CCOnLkSU8sOSVso-dwEHNLOVUtYGA5JnTrJ44sHPd7Eun6sL6PiplJ7GG8s-LKYcVZhqG5O4u2zzXoXChJZeQmKWyf-GRUtTU/s1600/IMG_3884.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6Tk81FQsVK08_n5KpNPb8UL8Lo0fUcGH0AH1S0A6l5b8CCOnLkSU8sOSVso-dwEHNLOVUtYGA5JnTrJ44sHPd7Eun6sL6PiplJ7GG8s-LKYcVZhqG5O4u2zzXoXChJZeQmKWyf-GRUtTU/s1600/IMG_3884.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
My two nieces regularly compete in violin competitions. I've never seen one before, but my family sends me pictures. This year, both girls won in their competitions! Yay! I decided to use their pictures in the shadow box to personalize it for them. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
My younger niece is a very wise girl. She is very self confident and very intuitive. I love those qualities about her, so I chose to use a stamp I got from Michael's that says "Be Yourself, nobody does it better". I think that really fits her personality!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3SNOcqGyBVb6s4kXPWxKNBM4cleBob3ixT2t86nN5u24AsQRxwJrdrfrg6lu3rPV40kHKv8eXuYxEQRD5kURbQJpRf7zLO3wzDOI-3_slqcG_g8TgMOUCQTTJS1CPhsH_Pobz4M3bGebr/s1600/IMG_3885.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3SNOcqGyBVb6s4kXPWxKNBM4cleBob3ixT2t86nN5u24AsQRxwJrdrfrg6lu3rPV40kHKv8eXuYxEQRD5kURbQJpRf7zLO3wzDOI-3_slqcG_g8TgMOUCQTTJS1CPhsH_Pobz4M3bGebr/s1600/IMG_3885.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
As girls can get picky, I wasn't sure what color my niece preferred, so I decided to go with a pastel theme and just picked all different pastel Wild Orchid Crafts and Prima flowers for my project. The background paper is from one of my Tilda paper stacks. I had to trace the violin shape onto the paper to make sure it would fit inside. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEja0Snb0jmmnWFqFZJRps3X0mGjE3XIP7AaaWKpr7yciiplk_isqqHGlIGg6LUj-QF4lAhWwUnla1eB-pvdLC0bGlKBpkfuQ7xxt4YbnGnJdW3Ri9oav2NzKmeiasN0jQer2tzuCGjZpyhL/s1600/IMG_3886.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEja0Snb0jmmnWFqFZJRps3X0mGjE3XIP7AaaWKpr7yciiplk_isqqHGlIGg6LUj-QF4lAhWwUnla1eB-pvdLC0bGlKBpkfuQ7xxt4YbnGnJdW3Ri9oav2NzKmeiasN0jQer2tzuCGjZpyhL/s1600/IMG_3886.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
On the side of the violin, I added some flowers and a little bird. Love it! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLsUxsR8eyFcOS5ubP2dlwAcmwWlDsuXDXBzFuVRW3RBa3yiWiyNblVchpkS3_pT6FKGm6wPhFvKmJHhMZgD4YKUSzk2GQTQTqGLBCBJp9oFdKhwshT5ZhGUV7LKFx_w3yne7_bh8I2Nt7/s1600/IMG_3887.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLsUxsR8eyFcOS5ubP2dlwAcmwWlDsuXDXBzFuVRW3RBa3yiWiyNblVchpkS3_pT6FKGm6wPhFvKmJHhMZgD4YKUSzk2GQTQTqGLBCBJp9oFdKhwshT5ZhGUV7LKFx_w3yne7_bh8I2Nt7/s1600/IMG_3887.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
This photo was actually from last year's competition. The photo they sent me from this year's didn't look right, so I decided to use last year's photo. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwxaYD3zKWThAu4uus2fxt6PvNDNrQM3NBOc6er1iCQAIiKKBfRy55B_htyTHAM2j_ZPyrLIHw22fhSsILx89nKAQR7wL7ltZVTb6Z36bsOJT1Ac-_AxoDpSUKOqMluQ3hvW98kiu5SLa1/s1600/IMG_3888.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwxaYD3zKWThAu4uus2fxt6PvNDNrQM3NBOc6er1iCQAIiKKBfRy55B_htyTHAM2j_ZPyrLIHw22fhSsILx89nKAQR7wL7ltZVTb6Z36bsOJT1Ac-_AxoDpSUKOqMluQ3hvW98kiu5SLa1/s1600/IMG_3888.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Here's a better look at that sentiment.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhK6ufZaPZ__lHjeJCgJcXytFGTUf0PwKu89eDsbO0LxRx6PukvH81Y_FZST7oxPuQBBfbFbTWsl9yRpxq6ZYhHPbT1QRamUwg_jPGJSXgKk_poLr3mF-QqZcYecBMhBPNI1r2is02McbVm/s1600/IMG_3889.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhK6ufZaPZ__lHjeJCgJcXytFGTUf0PwKu89eDsbO0LxRx6PukvH81Y_FZST7oxPuQBBfbFbTWsl9yRpxq6ZYhHPbT1QRamUwg_jPGJSXgKk_poLr3mF-QqZcYecBMhBPNI1r2is02McbVm/s1600/IMG_3889.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Oh.. and I made a heart using the heather flowers from WOC. Love it! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvH0odP-oNnifhtpLQ-lxF3h5rwJxJSAzeDuBaSrk3VqY2QuJXvYXwM2zyTzVFCDn1mPqQbASIxaq5dIyGAi4bTsACnv4XvPNC94y7ezkmQaDgQXoUjHt-XBZo3R8P-MVyULWuqd6BFJzd/s1600/IMG_3890.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvH0odP-oNnifhtpLQ-lxF3h5rwJxJSAzeDuBaSrk3VqY2QuJXvYXwM2zyTzVFCDn1mPqQbASIxaq5dIyGAi4bTsACnv4XvPNC94y7ezkmQaDgQXoUjHt-XBZo3R8P-MVyULWuqd6BFJzd/s1600/IMG_3890.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And finally getting around to using some of my Prima charms. Hard to let go of, but happy its going on a project that hopefully the girls will keep for years to come. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhh7AIqnXTz4nM9mFZSs0f_FR5mKfN2HwAI5H8JWXKdsGf00k1jGbTYHE7EBF1asASRY7yDc1HO6sz32IM3mOU_p4keMck7PIAgJ8haM-MP7Pi4wCqQui5S21p-x19868-Xv552GNA-2eb_/s1600/IMG_3891.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhh7AIqnXTz4nM9mFZSs0f_FR5mKfN2HwAI5H8JWXKdsGf00k1jGbTYHE7EBF1asASRY7yDc1HO6sz32IM3mOU_p4keMck7PIAgJ8haM-MP7Pi4wCqQui5S21p-x19868-Xv552GNA-2eb_/s1600/IMG_3891.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The second project to share was for my older niece. I thought she still liked blue, but I guess I was wrong. Found out she likes purple now. I'm sure that will change in a few months.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbRhPUgCXgZ1l1vdA2Lc96ws7DYHu3D0TPLNTyBHQZGmTvVBa7b40w-mimKoFqR_2peEaHCMEz0GazQQp_mkw4qvZOksXcV5wylNdwdtGBDAkHMuHNWI4AT9VCkc4IGph5MJjUCS58wCQC/s1600/IMG_3897.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbRhPUgCXgZ1l1vdA2Lc96ws7DYHu3D0TPLNTyBHQZGmTvVBa7b40w-mimKoFqR_2peEaHCMEz0GazQQp_mkw4qvZOksXcV5wylNdwdtGBDAkHMuHNWI4AT9VCkc4IGph5MJjUCS58wCQC/s1600/IMG_3897.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
For my older niece, she needs a little more encouragement than her sister, so I chose this sentiment from a Stampin Up set I purchased recently.. just for this stamp! I love this sentiment! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdC4CSCrASjqgKOaMI71jn03RpWB7uw-JBblFXTpwpBS8SYzUnO-9ocuim9MgyyXvcC2e6htgVqIGTOX7tChyrRfQ-4cLsx00nUuvwlE-mHxjh0-Fiu1nSQcQBr2HhNti7fqokJ2wmS8JC/s1600/IMG_3893.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdC4CSCrASjqgKOaMI71jn03RpWB7uw-JBblFXTpwpBS8SYzUnO-9ocuim9MgyyXvcC2e6htgVqIGTOX7tChyrRfQ-4cLsx00nUuvwlE-mHxjh0-Fiu1nSQcQBr2HhNti7fqokJ2wmS8JC/s1600/IMG_3893.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And I used another charm on this one too. Went with the bird one this time. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLSWo6uoDe-2WVRm-uB4Yp2VFot1IXYj-5go0IIgN2WXQ_4XZ7A98Fgp7KTgepnWsLAg6MnBfEBzVlASsSnOlVzp0zPoM28sP8_TsgRctOqNO28740_fhpTOc9WuIUx6LvZVImyg5d_ck3/s1600/IMG_3894.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLSWo6uoDe-2WVRm-uB4Yp2VFot1IXYj-5go0IIgN2WXQ_4XZ7A98Fgp7KTgepnWsLAg6MnBfEBzVlASsSnOlVzp0zPoM28sP8_TsgRctOqNO28740_fhpTOc9WuIUx6LvZVImyg5d_ck3/s1600/IMG_3894.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Here's a closer look at the flowers I used. Again from WOC and Prima. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5CyGFzV0QlzR7M53taaD3DhhUk2_CXkg-3A8SxRscK8Y1l2pKZzTsn9kgqP04oyNlKiYxrXOwV3CvAXCqef74pQU6lNTBEzoW50HgLukfp2yHGv0sDH6HTEDejfz_qi3u3K_EfEjoSz1Q/s1600/IMG_3895.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5CyGFzV0QlzR7M53taaD3DhhUk2_CXkg-3A8SxRscK8Y1l2pKZzTsn9kgqP04oyNlKiYxrXOwV3CvAXCqef74pQU6lNTBEzoW50HgLukfp2yHGv0sDH6HTEDejfz_qi3u3K_EfEjoSz1Q/s1600/IMG_3895.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Added a blue bird to the flower cluster...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Hope you liked my projects! I gave them their violins this past weekend and they seemed to really like it. Will post another project soon. Hopefully I won't be MIA as much as I have been. <br />

I've been missing for awhile, but I gotta tell you.. I'm sooooo busy!?! How the heck is it July? Anyway, I'm finally back to share with you the 2nd swap/challenge with my crafty friends- Linda, Kyoko and Cami. This time, it was Cami's choice of project. She decided on the bingo challenge... <br />

<br />
I had never seen the Bingo challenge before! I had a hard time choosing which embellishments to pick for my tag, so I just started making it and let the tag pick for me. The main things that we all needed to incorporate was:<br />
1) It had to be a tag<br />
2) Use any Prima Doll Stamp<br />
3) Use the color gray <br />
<br />
Here's a shot of all of our tags: <br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1ANoupF5tYHwCKROlOmbrjgeus4H6q3lQSxDlIjQ1ZpW-TgGqq9TSf9hcieaY4doYcdJB__iUbqLWljnqBMw_Hb_Y89fdKSEKzXrcqcbI5pyVfQaAjOs-TrZ9M8AosMbn0xF2lf29AWf2/s1600/IMG_3707.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1ANoupF5tYHwCKROlOmbrjgeus4H6q3lQSxDlIjQ1ZpW-TgGqq9TSf9hcieaY4doYcdJB__iUbqLWljnqBMw_Hb_Y89fdKSEKzXrcqcbI5pyVfQaAjOs-TrZ9M8AosMbn0xF2lf29AWf2/s1600/IMG_3707.JPG" height="198" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
First up is Linda's tag. She used the new Prima doily die in pink... love it! AND she made that cute doily flower. I think she said she sprayed it pink. I'm pretty sure Linda, Kyoko and I all choose the Lace, Doily, and Bling options Weird yah?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiU28CriV0xr0KDLXmOGHBUCtKOIUUExl0d2C6DUgI4k-tzvfhpjPPUCrbZIF5ar2miYdiRMiV4j3dB-0svMOvNy-qkBzmvZz-eqh4qkSGaKLfTaOI0-ndpT1R6_yL8FHfYmkFeVc4j3Abj/s1600/IMG_3708.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiU28CriV0xr0KDLXmOGHBUCtKOIUUExl0d2C6DUgI4k-tzvfhpjPPUCrbZIF5ar2miYdiRMiV4j3dB-0svMOvNy-qkBzmvZz-eqh4qkSGaKLfTaOI0-ndpT1R6_yL8FHfYmkFeVc4j3Abj/s1600/IMG_3708.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Here's a better look..<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5iZuShcmFvgkB2WW2_nK1HFYiMvS4jFgWWInU_4U1_OW_JyrOdh0Pxsz5Dv9jRUDfYj199nhnMxVIxzOgHqtrNAL_CzdLrNcgGuW-gy2kv0pbLmiMSYscrXAkSszLJ-qg8LCDSu3qosuT/s1600/IMG_3709.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5iZuShcmFvgkB2WW2_nK1HFYiMvS4jFgWWInU_4U1_OW_JyrOdh0Pxsz5Dv9jRUDfYj199nhnMxVIxzOgHqtrNAL_CzdLrNcgGuW-gy2kv0pbLmiMSYscrXAkSszLJ-qg8LCDSu3qosuT/s1600/IMG_3709.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And there's the lace... <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9AdsMgxa0D4GeIu0gT3VctaOyVqE7kbpdwVb9oFTyVrKfwpbYpL0_wf4WdDgJMc8_J7gD3NZ0sk69TC3TjhmEpmZxjufOYH-5RwDYdLQl2BZdmufWAQ-kRf4PAU4yV8gpRZXeNM3sCYNc/s1600/IMG_3710.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9AdsMgxa0D4GeIu0gT3VctaOyVqE7kbpdwVb9oFTyVrKfwpbYpL0_wf4WdDgJMc8_J7gD3NZ0sk69TC3TjhmEpmZxjufOYH-5RwDYdLQl2BZdmufWAQ-kRf4PAU4yV8gpRZXeNM3sCYNc/s1600/IMG_3710.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
This next tag was made by Kyoko... Love it!!! I think I love her outfit the best! That hat is just to die for. She also made good use of her bling mesh. I have tons of that but have not used it yet. Maybe this will inspire me. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhB4xY9HTqWxH6yQVynDtsh0FJLnjXlUhd8DN6IwaHe-UD0rs9k6nAzoXBVXb9EyRANh5Aba2eyApYIEnQm6tqvNp7NH9wengfwpwXEKNogEc8qBveaXoaFrPM-nftWNU9_lcY0vTeYAslj/s1600/IMG_3714.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhB4xY9HTqWxH6yQVynDtsh0FJLnjXlUhd8DN6IwaHe-UD0rs9k6nAzoXBVXb9EyRANh5Aba2eyApYIEnQm6tqvNp7NH9wengfwpwXEKNogEc8qBveaXoaFrPM-nftWNU9_lcY0vTeYAslj/s1600/IMG_3714.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
She even put pearls on the brim of the hat.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFN7vew6nGo3G-m9KTZSCI7M1jHluVrZ0Ay6w9j_EJdBpDlj3ggLm7tmod3IMjFpm5kdYjexgRBh5kSd0icywkU4pDicKt2_NqVTcXIiJDpv111KEzyu-nL6nsDXG2neGa02m8JLEkP16t/s1600/IMG_3715.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFN7vew6nGo3G-m9KTZSCI7M1jHluVrZ0Ay6w9j_EJdBpDlj3ggLm7tmod3IMjFpm5kdYjexgRBh5kSd0icywkU4pDicKt2_NqVTcXIiJDpv111KEzyu-nL6nsDXG2neGa02m8JLEkP16t/s1600/IMG_3715.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Love that Eiffel Tower and her accessories all match!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbxf2ZxsFYbQNkj0KMw4c0_GIsUEHEyLPWv3WWPvJbQkw0TJZfWWUCyZPlwzHmYHMHKP11IpjAx8_0lU3eKCu0CPiXJU1i9vMd8BgZ_hwBGerd8sEIEO5u8o7e9fQdAOzTLhgPSKAaCQRd/s1600/IMG_3716.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbxf2ZxsFYbQNkj0KMw4c0_GIsUEHEyLPWv3WWPvJbQkw0TJZfWWUCyZPlwzHmYHMHKP11IpjAx8_0lU3eKCu0CPiXJU1i9vMd8BgZ_hwBGerd8sEIEO5u8o7e9fQdAOzTLhgPSKAaCQRd/s1600/IMG_3716.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And our swap hostess.. Cami's tag. She always makes pretty packaging to go with her tag. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpyZ0G2Ip_F8IeQwDcc9xRNYfGmPWt10awIolc-63STiomKyzY0Hz4Q1Dw18T2t0Wg8FjQUD7Aa00q6OxVrLctwm70-cADhIHfJvVv3DdcjhumYmCmeUHaAyeRCLTHJm-ckl7j3vtLQ1F5/s1600/IMG_3717.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpyZ0G2Ip_F8IeQwDcc9xRNYfGmPWt10awIolc-63STiomKyzY0Hz4Q1Dw18T2t0Wg8FjQUD7Aa00q6OxVrLctwm70-cADhIHfJvVv3DdcjhumYmCmeUHaAyeRCLTHJm-ckl7j3vtLQ1F5/s1600/IMG_3717.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
All she did was decorate an envelope that the tag could slide in and out of.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-ewXMJ3D3RNDClgR0wgc8cj_FV9Tky-dWRp9H6KhpCEULTSV9Y9oeEEBOSE2P4z9chs78HfI_Scl28yqn6YQ0voWu-FOtbWHM71BDUunFLdQ7OV0iAfA1HWbAYG1Qlc2hTFtMed9iy_14/s1600/IMG_3718.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-ewXMJ3D3RNDClgR0wgc8cj_FV9Tky-dWRp9H6KhpCEULTSV9Y9oeEEBOSE2P4z9chs78HfI_Scl28yqn6YQ0voWu-FOtbWHM71BDUunFLdQ7OV0iAfA1HWbAYG1Qlc2hTFtMed9iy_14/s1600/IMG_3718.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I think I love that bow! She layered a couple of bows together cute!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
I think it's funny that we all went with pink and gray! The only requirement was to use gray! OK there's a whole lot going on here. First I made a bow using my new MFT's bow die. Love it! I cut it out of felt by PTI and added a mini rose. I also loved using my new Memory Bow die and Heartfelt Creations doily die. That stamp is by Stampin Up.. love that saying!<br />

Paper pieced the dress and headband using some of my precious Tilda paper. Love it! And decided to use some of my bling stash.<br />

I have more projects to share, but not sure I have the photos taken yet! Will share them as I am able to. Bye!</div>

The last couple trips home, my mom asked me to find the photo that was taken during my wedding of her and my stepdad. I didn't realize she liked that picture so much! She told me later it's because he was wearing a tux and never did before.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I was a little worried because when I first started looking for the photo, I looked in my hard drive and didn't find it. I thought I only had a regular print and was worried I wouldn't find it. Then I tackled my hallway closet and found it in one of the photo storage containers that had everyone's wedding pictures, including mine. I was soooo happy to find it for her.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Then I went to make copies of it. Decided to enlarge one so I could use it on a project for mom. Then I remembered that Mom's birthday was coming up, so I decided to use it on a canvas. Here's what I came up with.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzxgCNy54QZNyg_fDkzANzRL-YUTfJTSb02oQkJH8FPIgHDpaIQp5j6-9XDL6s-xD487Uad87PJ95He4HUFvz8EmKmZEv2Z8L41Gi38pBinSpx1WLeuDjTl_OhUZ7ZAD45U-CfJg_QH2sC/s1600/IMG_3230.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzxgCNy54QZNyg_fDkzANzRL-YUTfJTSb02oQkJH8FPIgHDpaIQp5j6-9XDL6s-xD487Uad87PJ95He4HUFvz8EmKmZEv2Z8L41Gi38pBinSpx1WLeuDjTl_OhUZ7ZAD45U-CfJg_QH2sC/s1600/IMG_3230.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The first thing I did was choose the paper. Because our wedding colors were red, pink, and white, I decided to incorporate red into the project. Plus mom is renovating her "woman cave" and has opted for a earthy rustic theme. She picked out dark colored wood, rattan type furniture, so I thought the red would match nicely in her new room once its done.<br />
<br />
So the paper I chose is from Prima's Stationer's Desk collection. Lately I've been into the whole shabby chic colors (pastels) but I think it was a good break to go with some bursts of red. I fell in love with the paper that I chose and love that the opposite side is that dark red. Its good that the opposite side coordinates well with the side I'm using.... for the reason below... If you curl the paper as I did and the opposite side doesn't match, it will likely ruin your project.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEit6tWhbWv_g_IWo3_sifOyGHh6J7klu0visqqzVhEwW3lrfVcDFKQDwwNXEiJac3nfElx_VY6qJy2b4R9tkreG5lnzonyBEOTC0RJnVKXxd4IFvd4u6YeA71AnlhAok1VUpr049Vbae9pO/s1600/IMG_3231.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEit6tWhbWv_g_IWo3_sifOyGHh6J7klu0visqqzVhEwW3lrfVcDFKQDwwNXEiJac3nfElx_VY6qJy2b4R9tkreG5lnzonyBEOTC0RJnVKXxd4IFvd4u6YeA71AnlhAok1VUpr049Vbae9pO/s1600/IMG_3231.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
To make this little peek a boo window, you figure out where you want your photo. I then marked it on the paper and then cut an X from corner to corner. Then curl back each end to reveal the photo. Oops forgot to add that I sprayed the edges of the canvas with brown before I adhered down the photo and covered it with the DP. After placing the photo down, I could then start decorating. <br />
<br />
Not sure why but I had a hard time with this layout. It took me several days to figure out how I wanted to do it, but I finally just started gluing and this is what I came up with.<br />
<br />
Below is the top left hand corner of the project. Not sure if you can see, but I layed down a piece of burlap, then a crochet doily, then all the flowers and burlap leaves. The keyhole was also glued there but the key is at the bottom by the photo. Oh yes, and peeking out from behind one of the large roses is some bling I got from Downtown LA. Still having a hard time letting go of my stash, but I think canvases are the perfect project to do so with since it won't be discarded at the end of the day. The "Love" branch is an embellishment by Prima that I got from one of their warehouse box sales (good find!)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjc8_1EJdQKzXWT-K361hP4z-KlvJlu9iX0ORBUx_kmEhVXEVQ2qaNe_YH5uL6XlrNKO1gQAP0wFh5hSdGSAzILJbDMSkJfpj6z5g74Ibe9e_PtK4hFQiLLOGdk8oCW_bbnSDdCaqLS8MhM/s1600/IMG_3233.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjc8_1EJdQKzXWT-K361hP4z-KlvJlu9iX0ORBUx_kmEhVXEVQ2qaNe_YH5uL6XlrNKO1gQAP0wFh5hSdGSAzILJbDMSkJfpj6z5g74Ibe9e_PtK4hFQiLLOGdk8oCW_bbnSDdCaqLS8MhM/s1600/IMG_3233.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Over the photo, I added some black Prima swirl bling and then glued on another bling from Downtown LA.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhL86FUJo8wsvMBqK9yQXUW8NS9KQ4SlqzCwDjeapuBB9dktiQ-IUpv7hxczBg6GAmN1Luzy_gxvUrL_5gmEgUAaUAcXJFuLts1GR-8V07XDLE7WOfmnZEhQGya6FZMsYahk5KnTLrbb9Qg/s1600/IMG_3234.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhL86FUJo8wsvMBqK9yQXUW8NS9KQ4SlqzCwDjeapuBB9dktiQ-IUpv7hxczBg6GAmN1Luzy_gxvUrL_5gmEgUAaUAcXJFuLts1GR-8V07XDLE7WOfmnZEhQGya6FZMsYahk5KnTLrbb9Qg/s1600/IMG_3234.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Here's the key I told you about.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBKHVY85RFGtmUKNOpPIANlTndXCQ2rHthtHtDZzBNaFT-RdkE_8a0rHYEn6uH9nAZAMe0xYki0EhK_OsmAMHhsRNfuXY8qiliNLghEeq6Agw8JxhAfnGfgLDzOsqP4wXm9Gvzl6ipsqnA/s1600/IMG_3235.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBKHVY85RFGtmUKNOpPIANlTndXCQ2rHthtHtDZzBNaFT-RdkE_8a0rHYEn6uH9nAZAMe0xYki0EhK_OsmAMHhsRNfuXY8qiliNLghEeq6Agw8JxhAfnGfgLDzOsqP4wXm9Gvzl6ipsqnA/s1600/IMG_3235.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I think the hardest part was finding the right sentiment for this project. Not sure if you remember but a few posts back, I shared the mother's day canvas that I made for my mother in law. I used the same sentiment because I felt like this captured my mom's feelings for my stepdad.. he will always be forever in her heart. Of course I had to add some hearts right? (Hearts are my favorite!) So I decided to part with one of my heart blings I got at the last Rubber Stamp Expo. Also shown here is the other part of that black bling and another bling piece from Downtown LA.<br />
<br />

Hope my mom likes this present. I made her a regular copy of the photo anyway because she wanted it for a special frame she bought. Gonna surprise her with this when I see her. Happy Birthday Mom!Jennyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18244983833027207496noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7878332889514534980.post-92085575142164991812014-05-24T00:00:00.000-10:002014-05-24T00:00:05.943-10:00Happy Birthday Haley!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
One of my niece's is gonna have a birthday soon! I'm really trying to be good and get my cards out on time. Hope I'm not too late! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
She loves animals- especially dogs! Like Daba, my niece has a "Daba" called Woof Woof. I think her name has changed to Lacey. My brother (more like my SIL) was smart and got several Woof Woof dolls- just in case. But believe me they know the difference between the "real" Woof Woof and the fake Woof Woofs. Akemi could do that too.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So, everytime I see a puppy, I think of my niece. Hope she likes this card. Oh, and she also likes the color blue, so that's why I tried to incorporate it into my project.</div>

Hope Haley has a great birthday! See you soon!Jennyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18244983833027207496noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7878332889514534980.post-52474547358908013442014-05-21T00:00:00.000-10:002014-05-21T00:00:00.017-10:00Magic Wands<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
At work, I joke that I need a magic wand to make all the impossible things happen. I even bought my (now retired) boss a wand when I went to Disnelyand once I realized all the "magic" she had to do at work. LOL! I think I'm gonna start a magic wand collection- what do you think?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So now that you've had a good laugh, I thought you might enjoy this project. Every year I have to come up with something to hand out at my daughter's annual recital. This year, I saw some of these wands at the Target dollar bin. They did NOT come with the embellishments and flowers on it, just the wand with ribbon. At first I was ready to just hand them out as is, but after I looked at them for awhile, I decided I couldn't let them go without pretty-ing them up a bit. Here's what I came up with...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg78dNA9LLGg8aSnvgduXQUGZ2bPJSdqlp27yOU8ny8WDexC0rKmc34Pp6MKruftnuN9num77XqErFzD-Uv6Pt3GPi6aI7A4iBkWzjhfEIzoF806NDJ42Ghul9LIMg2T4XL5Z0Hn56CJtmq/s1600/IMG_3255.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg78dNA9LLGg8aSnvgduXQUGZ2bPJSdqlp27yOU8ny8WDexC0rKmc34Pp6MKruftnuN9num77XqErFzD-Uv6Pt3GPi6aI7A4iBkWzjhfEIzoF806NDJ42Ghul9LIMg2T4XL5Z0Hn56CJtmq/s1600/IMG_3255.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I am trying to use up some my stash so I was very free with what I added to each wand. The must include on each wand was a shabby rosette. I have an overabundance of these pretties, so I need to find ways to use them up. Here I added them as a base and then layered other elements over them for different looks. Here's the five varieties I came up with. I really should have taken a photo of them without any embellishments so you could see the "before" shot.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Oki doki. Trying to figure out if I have the strength to make tags for them now. We'll see- I have another week.Jennyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18244983833027207496noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7878332889514534980.post-40274260180846325762014-05-20T00:00:00.000-10:002014-05-20T00:00:07.259-10:00Handmade Flowers- Sort Of<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hello There!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I was in the middle of deciding what to make for my upcoming Sister Stamps Release and found a set of large paper flowers that were just taking up room in my container. I decided to try to use them up by making them into a fuller flower. I think I would use this type of flower on a project than a flat flower, plus if they are already done, it makes it so much easier when working on a project...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So while I was brainstorming of what to do for my projects, I decided to be useful and work on a project. All I did was add a large pearl to the center of a flower, and clue the petals around it. Then kept adding more layers until I had about 4 per flower. Love how they turned out! Good, maybe I'll start using them now!</div>

Happy Aloha Friday!!! Did you ever wake up and think it was Saturday... sucks yah? Well, that's what happened to me this morning, but I'm determined to make it a good day... cause it's the start of the weekend after all!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So yesterday I was able to whip up a card using one of my new Gorjuss Girls stamps, Yay! The new stamps are much larger than the previous releases. I like the size for canvases and other projects, but its sometimes challenging to put them on my cards. This card was especially difficult to find an image that would fit, but since this girl is sitting, I thought she might be able to fit on the pop up portion.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzJwUMrXo5JqDgGrvzlJFOxDZfk_JnlEAPQxSizISxToE-ZkS5N7FX0f4uZAUSFxzXmZGexFRfdR8ApWCRhFXNW6if11B6EQ7njVrO83bNJ0bRPOXkvIyAVxCvW-FvbcYsR6_HuS9sMQ1S/s1600/IMG_3237.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzJwUMrXo5JqDgGrvzlJFOxDZfk_JnlEAPQxSizISxToE-ZkS5N7FX0f4uZAUSFxzXmZGexFRfdR8ApWCRhFXNW6if11B6EQ7njVrO83bNJ0bRPOXkvIyAVxCvW-FvbcYsR6_HuS9sMQ1S/s1600/IMG_3237.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
So after I figured out how to make the card larger, I made several that are just waiting to be decorated. This is a great time saving tip because when you mass produce you don't have to keep looking at the dimensions. I also like this card because it reminds me to use up my 6x6 papers that are just taking up space.<br />
<br />
I believe the papers used on this card is by Prima and I want to say its the Nature's Garden stack. Love this paper! Since it was predominatly gray, I went with pink accents. Then I opened it up and realized it had more blue undertones... Oh well.<br />
<br />
Here's a closer look at the image.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSuiBFv8N12LJeLARhtRElEV-1yhtUnml8PzbWK43TvwMkWhu3xdWB5QHZAHH13f33i1tw-INCLwgGztegJfe2KYgwYV1VhpbI4vicZJBf0HfHuoF7KO4HWcX1uqCVaFFUPcA5qonenIl4/s1600/IMG_3238.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSuiBFv8N12LJeLARhtRElEV-1yhtUnml8PzbWK43TvwMkWhu3xdWB5QHZAHH13f33i1tw-INCLwgGztegJfe2KYgwYV1VhpbI4vicZJBf0HfHuoF7KO4HWcX1uqCVaFFUPcA5qonenIl4/s1600/IMG_3238.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And some of the flowers I used.. Some are from Downtown LA, Wild Orchid Crafts and I am Roses.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgWDmjOrc0nv2CmIEca4Ic4h-oIvKoBttOUUgVCSrGoGSNtoLsSGXNxm8VOE5rnsc_MBBoBN5PYMapX0Hc8Er91LsnRjeyZ4k9W40MFPBGZfboivX7yfvIFZxB36xd8xeDxVqgZkZTD_2M/s1600/IMG_3239.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgWDmjOrc0nv2CmIEca4Ic4h-oIvKoBttOUUgVCSrGoGSNtoLsSGXNxm8VOE5rnsc_MBBoBN5PYMapX0Hc8Er91LsnRjeyZ4k9W40MFPBGZfboivX7yfvIFZxB36xd8xeDxVqgZkZTD_2M/s1600/IMG_3239.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtSrOTI8LNKJxBKGfSBPLnK8AJVWxtxwiUHuEx9Bap_KKF6zolManeF0ftzEd7OwBHO4dBOjglamRabfT1TrWcrX0CDsLfvcSBoTd9kbAM2wlr57aJZ-ApAHcx_1vAvyx-2Nmh9UGIZA0o/s1600/IMG_3240.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtSrOTI8LNKJxBKGfSBPLnK8AJVWxtxwiUHuEx9Bap_KKF6zolManeF0ftzEd7OwBHO4dBOjglamRabfT1TrWcrX0CDsLfvcSBoTd9kbAM2wlr57aJZ-ApAHcx_1vAvyx-2Nmh9UGIZA0o/s1600/IMG_3240.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The part I like best about this card is when it's popped up! I knew I wanted the girl to pop up, but I thought it looked a little empty... so I experimented a bit and ended up attaching a Memory Box die cut behind her so that when you slide the card open, it is still attached behind her and looks like its floating.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Here's a better look at it...<br />

<br />
OK gotta go get ready for work! Have a great day!Jennyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18244983833027207496noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7878332889514534980.post-33693777394836396212014-05-13T00:00:00.000-10:002014-05-13T00:00:00.048-10:00A Gorjuss Friend<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I guess I've become bored again (not of Gorjuss Girls!!)... mainly with regular cards, so I've gone back to my roots and looked up some of the interactive cards that I made when I first started blogging. What's old is new again right? While researching...I found the tutorial for this <a href="http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/centerstepcard/">center step card</a> that I don't think I've ever made before! Believe me, it's super easy to cut! Before I knew it, I was decorating!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibhiZGItkqGOeoQyjdm1j8PRhNsLGk1J_74JicezQGIav-qDTZk5eYLWR3YqSTGb791troU6Yx9UtEXwWK-Dfep07Z3TKac4bcwH8ZGG084F20FHs38SXliReZyIh7iuqswA_TJ75HHpjf/s1600/IMG_3185.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibhiZGItkqGOeoQyjdm1j8PRhNsLGk1J_74JicezQGIav-qDTZk5eYLWR3YqSTGb791troU6Yx9UtEXwWK-Dfep07Z3TKac4bcwH8ZGG084F20FHs38SXliReZyIh7iuqswA_TJ75HHpjf/s1600/IMG_3185.JPG" height="320" width="303" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I like the size of the card too cause it can hold my new Gorjuss Girl stamps which are pretty large compared to the older ones. I also pulled out one of my favorite sentiment stamps by Paper Inspirations. I don't know if they are still available nowadays, but you might get lucky on ebay or something.</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Decided to go with a pink and black theme this time and picked out this pretty paper by Authentique. This Gorjuss Girl is called The White Rabbit. I thought about putting one of our Sister Stamps bunnies next to her, but I was rushing and forgot about it. I will have to do that next time. I think she's supposed to be like Alice in Wonderland?</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjW-yqKXsPyECtgQk7KBYv-FFB4-_BPyBpPTVA6cjK1aurQc6mtiMGMtdlJcj-eJUvJdTTZI7lN3Z1h5Y40XDkigkW3JDVxa4tSHZYBDuPkCL0X7bGpy_cmA63N5K-ZPh4uxmPyGu0PfR8v/s1600/IMG_3186.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjW-yqKXsPyECtgQk7KBYv-FFB4-_BPyBpPTVA6cjK1aurQc6mtiMGMtdlJcj-eJUvJdTTZI7lN3Z1h5Y40XDkigkW3JDVxa4tSHZYBDuPkCL0X7bGpy_cmA63N5K-ZPh4uxmPyGu0PfR8v/s1600/IMG_3186.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
And of course I had to add some bling and flowers!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiGEjWUbVTNxPphbN89HLbV8WGZr-w-qulKukBt9LWttekkSjDB-0KlDHBUjhliNIxPejTINHnkmNNiR_0rZ1Tfa8YKBmTyMQyu88mOHGIP5yxw5JW3uR4LrzhVTsAShTdt251P01Uoh_b/s1600/IMG_3187.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiGEjWUbVTNxPphbN89HLbV8WGZr-w-qulKukBt9LWttekkSjDB-0KlDHBUjhliNIxPejTINHnkmNNiR_0rZ1Tfa8YKBmTyMQyu88mOHGIP5yxw5JW3uR4LrzhVTsAShTdt251P01Uoh_b/s1600/IMG_3187.JPG" height="320" width="268" /></a></div>
<br />
Here's that sentiment up close so you can see the words. Love it!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhv4VQrbEGbxl9vcyZZuN_E0gHzM5IPGEy-F6H-BfJYcq-nZGbdy8Mvxd_MD8sMOxKlrqLFpkYdQap0Aw9okKHQiOooTo7O3r3TA1G7waIXjVQUMNoVizhSwZG3P3Ez1IyTQXtJ80rc7a12/s1600/IMG_3188.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhv4VQrbEGbxl9vcyZZuN_E0gHzM5IPGEy-F6H-BfJYcq-nZGbdy8Mvxd_MD8sMOxKlrqLFpkYdQap0Aw9okKHQiOooTo7O3r3TA1G7waIXjVQUMNoVizhSwZG3P3Ez1IyTQXtJ80rc7a12/s1600/IMG_3188.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
And here's a better look from the side. I like how it can stand up on it's own.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHooZxaSsungDV2MOCbSg2t6K0mibiiKqkIZaYta1D2KH8Qegxdv5Pug4FubSA8gIeA29CWhqdVv7fBZQEyq-2QRbwHZsmPJmelWOG7manPI_pJ0Yw5J0L60JVsL0zpDqvbZ6qRO6MT9zU/s1600/IMG_3189.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHooZxaSsungDV2MOCbSg2t6K0mibiiKqkIZaYta1D2KH8Qegxdv5Pug4FubSA8gIeA29CWhqdVv7fBZQEyq-2QRbwHZsmPJmelWOG7manPI_pJ0Yw5J0L60JVsL0zpDqvbZ6qRO6MT9zU/s1600/IMG_3189.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
OK I'm pretty sure if you don't like Gorjuss Girls, I've lost you on all of these posts! LOL! I can't help it. I'm Addicted!<br />
<br />Jennyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18244983833027207496noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7878332889514534980.post-47944334987021650202014-05-12T00:00:00.001-10:002014-05-12T00:00:10.318-10:00Forever In My Heart<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
As usual, I've procrastinated to the last minute. Seriously... I think I do my best work when I procrastinate. That gets my juices flowing and I get inspired. Or maybe it just motivates me to get off my butt and actually do it! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So I've been wanting to do another canvas for awhile now. I purchased more Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays a few months back and filled them up, but never used them. I had bought some before, but found them to be too dark, so I bought the lighter shades, which is more my style. I'm still learning, but I like how the colors ended up blending together.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQmqmLqeDGaZOgnRQ4FQZYXpIgbCf1OYPJo9M_blPIyG0qehNctf_11wD71JmZxsoDOVQYsfSNL9TgD5XnDEt1uTXdM1cwnXpYuveNDeWEcT1S1P__t6ZX5vEKe7TjrwcrMnpZGWm7s7Xy/s1600/IMG_3215.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQmqmLqeDGaZOgnRQ4FQZYXpIgbCf1OYPJo9M_blPIyG0qehNctf_11wD71JmZxsoDOVQYsfSNL9TgD5XnDEt1uTXdM1cwnXpYuveNDeWEcT1S1P__t6ZX5vEKe7TjrwcrMnpZGWm7s7Xy/s1600/IMG_3215.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Made this canvas for my Mother In Law for Mother's Day. I had made a canvas for my mom earlier but never made one for my MIL. I hope she likes it. Not sure this is really her style, but oh well.<br />
<br />
Before I did anything, I painted a coat of Gesso on the canvas. I don't know if I need to do that, but I did anyway. After that dried, I used my favorite Prima stencil and modeling paste at the top. It was a bit challenging because I'm not patient and wanted to start the next section, but had to wait till the first section dried. It's not hard, just took awhile to dry.<br />
<br />
After the pasting was done, I started working on the design. I tried to pick out white or ivory colored flowers as much as possible so I could spray them up with my Lindy's. I saw a few videos where they gesso'd up everything before spraying, so I did that too. <br />
<br />
Because Akemi's dress was turquoise, I had to incorporate it somehow into the project. I have a LOT of turquoise, teal colors, but didn't want to go too dark, so I opted for the lightest one and sprayed it closest to her so that it would blend well. Then I worked my way out with green on both sides of the blue, etc.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEheH2_miYKqxLJHcC5tOnZMZFKnd7adTnqwGEF58n8_98oR0OKpAHrvqV5eQyT6zBmXvx2XGhBRMM7ooWW5TNuEqoxHphIxB8hUxFDW6oUo5bhQTqienwHbB0W6s0EeA-Z97WVRRWe2yC6V/s1600/IMG_3216.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEheH2_miYKqxLJHcC5tOnZMZFKnd7adTnqwGEF58n8_98oR0OKpAHrvqV5eQyT6zBmXvx2XGhBRMM7ooWW5TNuEqoxHphIxB8hUxFDW6oUo5bhQTqienwHbB0W6s0EeA-Z97WVRRWe2yC6V/s1600/IMG_3216.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
After spraying up the layout, we went to go eat dinner. By the time we came back, it was dry, but I didn't think it had enough color, so I did another layer. This came out much nicer to my taste.<br />
<br />
After that layer dried, I filled in the holes with my acrylic flowers. I only used the clear ones so it woudn't compete with the rest of the layout.<br />
<br />
The most challenging part for me was to fill in the "white space" with the sentiment or title. I had something picked out from another stencil, but the words were too thin, I didn't want to risk it, so instead, I rummaged through my dies and found this PTI set that had dies that coordinated with the stamp set. I thought "Forever in my heart" was a cute sentiment to add to the layout.<br />
<br />
Then I got some floral wire and formed a heart. I was inspired after watching <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1p665aWcQW4">Bona's video</a> when she did something similar using the Prima wire. I had done something similar before but didn't add the flowers and stickles this time- just kept it simple.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghab7t79wYa9afbMYEL6K6ZVgYAcyGv5AKk7oBjAGz_QcMzF4BwHOz_1lkSBQEkugLOr-NOhbqGQp8CTVURYHTH7GdRie6x3EN2EZhv-0S1I2P_HR7bztOFWYF57-3YwYHoJ_Xee9vIitc/s1600/IMG_3217.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghab7t79wYa9afbMYEL6K6ZVgYAcyGv5AKk7oBjAGz_QcMzF4BwHOz_1lkSBQEkugLOr-NOhbqGQp8CTVURYHTH7GdRie6x3EN2EZhv-0S1I2P_HR7bztOFWYF57-3YwYHoJ_Xee9vIitc/s1600/IMG_3217.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Hope you had a great Mother's Day! I think I gotta play with my sprays more often!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I was playing around with my new stamps and decided to try to mimic a layout I saw earlier while surfing the net. The layout consisted of rolling back the paper and adding some flowers underneath. It didn't come out quite like I imagined it would, but I think it looks ok. Here's what I came up with...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Colored up this image called the Black Star. Not sure why she's named that but I thought she had a cute pose. I didn't include a sentiment since I could keep it in my stash and add a sentiment when needed.<br />

<br />
I ended up paper piecing her dress this time. I like the paper used by Kaisercraft. The soft water color looks is so pretty.<br />
<br />
Not sure if you can tell, but I painted the corrugated cardboard with some turquoise paint instead of gesso this time for a different look and added all the roses peeking out from under the rolled edge.<br />
<br />

<br />
And because the corner looked empty, I added a bow using my favorite ribbon- seam binding!!<br />

Thanks again for bearing with my new addiction! Hope you have a Happy Mother's Day!Jennyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18244983833027207496noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7878332889514534980.post-86118058230733836782014-05-10T00:00:00.000-10:002014-05-10T00:00:04.180-10:00Oh Happy Gorjuss Day!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
First of all, I need to wish my dear friend <a href="http://haveascraphappyday.blogspot.com/">Karen </a>a happy belated birthday! I'm soooooo late in sending her something that I'm a little embarassed! Karen- don't look at the date I bought your present! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Because I'm so late, I decided I need to spend some extra time and care in making her card. Since I'm still on my Gorjuss Girl kick, I decided to incorporate one into the card. I've been crazy on YouTube checking out old and new Gorjuss Girl videos and found one by <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OyDhmVhahPQ">Creative Kelly from Cali </a>that showcases an oldie but goodie interactive card. I think it's called the surprise pop up card by Beate Johns. Check out her tutorial<a href="http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/surprise_pop_up_card/"> here</a>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So I altered the measurements from the original tutorial to mimic Kelly's card to the larger size of 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". Here's what I came up with...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOFUiOIkIDKaq5eVsctv_jw_Qnm89gIR4OauZRtwcbGf3sfzXqO5hDAduJcHAXP9XUhhTzvz9A5w0ehXx_t4uSueDf-mhUeKykS_eKYYv6i9ywE8D_znxu3KVNLHmlUZjcaOdH1pA6U-Ta/s1600/IMG_3170.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOFUiOIkIDKaq5eVsctv_jw_Qnm89gIR4OauZRtwcbGf3sfzXqO5hDAduJcHAXP9XUhhTzvz9A5w0ehXx_t4uSueDf-mhUeKykS_eKYYv6i9ywE8D_znxu3KVNLHmlUZjcaOdH1pA6U-Ta/s1600/IMG_3170.JPG" height="320" width="316" /></a></div>
<br />
The papers used are from the Bo Bunny Primrose line. Again.. trying to use up stuff that I already bought and since I haven't touched this set yet, that was next on my to use list. The roses are from either Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts, I am Roses or downtown LA. Also used crochet trim I picked up at my LSS and some prima bling. This Gorjuss Girl is from the older collection since those stamps are smaller than the new releases. This stamp actually had a pigeon next to her, but I cut it out since it didn't really match the card. Here's a closer look at her.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipZl0BMPmXPrIPGzrCEP6-39mS2WgtOFJLWKqql76Yoyto3Gy1lZH9VMeWx8iOHgTq1jihLi8WaMgPMCoKT9YmlGKX5PqfnB-THdHrfMSf8w8RgPzYiM5S9TOHvNv8He5MyLmTs2QMVscF/s1600/IMG_3171.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipZl0BMPmXPrIPGzrCEP6-39mS2WgtOFJLWKqql76Yoyto3Gy1lZH9VMeWx8iOHgTq1jihLi8WaMgPMCoKT9YmlGKX5PqfnB-THdHrfMSf8w8RgPzYiM5S9TOHvNv8He5MyLmTs2QMVscF/s1600/IMG_3171.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
And a closer look at the sentiment and flowers. The sentiment is from a new Lawn Fawn set called Oh Happy Day. Forgot to mention that I also added a bunch of flat back pearls.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDkJFB-YKW-UHB-vzT0NneqmMTCyM1wuWjjvEwYfOAcGJYlK4-JccTXihUukXXUYOe9NavkOZRBozqAGsrWelAW4Pag2bqJLYDY2hZGXdsx_DGT5j5xyxY7rOltyTzrcaciuMwWJHXLasc/s1600/IMG_3172.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDkJFB-YKW-UHB-vzT0NneqmMTCyM1wuWjjvEwYfOAcGJYlK4-JccTXihUukXXUYOe9NavkOZRBozqAGsrWelAW4Pag2bqJLYDY2hZGXdsx_DGT5j5xyxY7rOltyTzrcaciuMwWJHXLasc/s1600/IMG_3172.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
The fun part about this card is that you can pull the tag in the back and make the card pop up! It will then reveal the message to the recipient. I also hid a gift certificate in this compartment.<br />
<br />

<br />
The sentiment is from a new Paper Smooches set I just got. Yay! At least I'm using a lot of my new stuff!<br />
