Piranha Plants
The last project I have to share from Akemi's b-day party are the goodie bags. After weeks of trying to figure out what to do, I came up with the Piranha Plant. These venus flytrap looking plants are a staple in Mario games and were the perfect accent to the goodie bags. Pictured here is the prototype.... I ended up finishing them off by covering the sticks with green duct tape. Bought some cheap plastic flower pots from Walmart and shoved all the goodies inside. I don't know who loved them more... the kids or the parents!?
Here's a close up of the plant.
And here's all of them ready to go to the party..
We had so much fun and I'm burnt to a crisp! It was nice to see everyone again- including the Ho family from Honolulu! Need to do this again next year!
These are awesome. I love them.
ReplyDeleteAwww Jenny! That venus flytrap is way too cute! Yep, I bet it was the parents going ga-ga over these! :) I know I would be. Hope Akemi had a blast!

ReplyDeleteIs this the one you were telling me about one day? That's so amazing!! She's lucky to have a mom like you to come up with things like this!!
ReplyDeleteOMG!!! These piranha plant favors are just out of this world. Wow, they look pretty complicated to make, but I can see why everyone at the party enjoyed them so much. I'll be little Akemi was so pleased and proud that her mommy is so talented!
