After getting very little sleep the night before, Linda and I woke up early to get ready for Prima ArtVenture!! Woo Hoo! The day has finally arrived!! We got to the Marriott just after 7:00am to register. There we met Denny- he has been the contact for Prima ArtVenture. Hi Denny!
And no, that's not coffee in Linda's cup. She wasn't that tired I guess. Only water.
Our first class was with the famous Limor Webber! Her class project looks intimidating yah? She told us that she hand carried that project on the plane. Hmmmm, wonder if I should do that too?
Here's what mine looks like so far.. didn't have enough time to finish it.
Since we had snuck in the room to "reserve" our spot, we caught Limor there alone. Since Linda knows everyone, she asked Limor if we could take picture with her.
So of course I copy cat her..
I think this is my favorite picture of the day! Limor Webber photo bombed us!!!! How cool is that! I knew I'd like her after she did that!
This is what was waiting for us in the room. So pretty!
And here's a peek inside our class box!
After Limor's class, we had a lunch break. What was the first thing that we did? Go to the Prima Store! They were originally set up in the hallway, by the classrooms, but had to move upstairs to another room. Thank goodness because it was too congested where the classrooms were. Will share more on the shopping later.
Before I forget... true story. Next door to our class was Finnabair (Anna Dabrowska) and Frank Garcia's classes. Frank's class ended up using too much power with all the heat guns going and they couldn't use the outlets. Anna's class had someone set a chair on fire by leaving the heat gun on and putting it on a chair. We were very lucky that the alarm didn't go off and the sprinklers set off. I would've been one PO'd sistah.
Next up was Frank's class! Yay! I love Frank. I try to watch his Live with Prima classes online. Yes, he's really as nice as he is on Live with Prima. His class featured his new Prima line Cartographer! Congrats Frank! Here's the layout we did in his class..
And here's Frank teaching us how to make this cool layout!
We finally got a picture with the man!
And here's all the goodies and my project!
After Frank's class, we took our class stuff to the car, had a small snack and then headed back for our last class with Finnabair herself.. Anna Dabrowska!
Confession time... Anna Dabrowska is the main reason I wanted to go to Prima ArtVenture! Although there was no guarantee that she's be teaching, I signed up anyway and crossed my fingers. She does mind blowing work! Here I am sooooo happy with my class supplies!
Here's Anna's class sample- "Black Beauty". Simply Stunning.
She's such a Rockstar! Check out her hair!
Totally surprised Linda didn't do a purple cover! She went for blue and green. She later couldn't resist adding purple highlights.
And here's my project half done. I'm so happy!
Although it was the end of the night, I had to take a picture with Anna! She is so nice for a Rockstar!
This time Linda got in the shot too..
And here's my almost finished project!
Still coming down from my crafty high today! Three classes down, three more to go! I have absolutely no idea how I'm going to get all this stuff home, but if there's a will, there's a way and I will find it if it kills me.
Tomorrow will be sure to get some photos of the new crafty friends we made in our class! Good night from Cali!
Wow! The projects are all so beautiful and you gals learned at lot today. I can't wait to see what you do tomorrow. What an experience with crafting world's bestest instructors. Your projects are all beautiful!
