Fairy Ava Desk Calendar

Fairy Ava is so cute! She is a digi from In Style Stamps. I love how you can get her in different poses, so you can customize your project perfectly.

I chose the sitting Ava for this calendar. She looked like she was taking a break from her fairy duties. I need a break too!

Anyway, used my prima flowers again to decorate the calendar, which really adds to it. Here's a close up of Ava.

I had a blast yesterday hanging out at Island Scrapbooking! I taught my first Magic Card class and the students were great. Then I ended up spending the rest of the day hanging out with Tracy, Kelli, and Debi, working on projects and sharing ideas. Kelli brought her new airbrush system and was testing it out. Now I want one! Yikes!

Anyway, since I had made the card folder for Tracy and Debi, I had to make one for Kelli! I remember Kelli telling me that she liked the Anime stamps from In Style Stamps. I decided to make her a folder using one of their images. I think this girl is very cute... she is so flirty! I just went to the In Style Stamps site and they are having a 4th of July blowout! Sorry, got a little side tracked for a moment.... Back to Yuki. You can't tell it from this photo, but I colored her shoe junk. The shoe color bled into the foot. I suck. So I decided to hide it using one of the flowers!!! I learned that trick from watching Ace of Cakes. Duff says that if you see a flower in a weird place on a cake, its probably because its hiding something!! Hee hee.

Sweet Mykai

Yes, you must be bored of these folders by now... I know. I just love how this one turned out!!! I bought the Mykai digi stamp (hope they make her into a regular stamp too!) and really wanted to use her. I also just got my cherry blossom Sizzix deco strip last week and wanted to break it in. They were just meant to go together, don't ya think?

I just love the DP too. I got it from Island Scrapbooking a few weeks ago, intending to use it with Geisha Anya, but decided to use it with Mykai instead. I think the paper is from Stamping Station- I looked on the paper but no indication of what company manufactured it. To give the cherry blossoms dimension, I used pop dots (cut them in quarters) and selected a few to raise them with the dots. I also used gold stickles to add the middles to each flower.

In Style Anime Fairy

I bought these In Style digi stamps awhile back and just didn't have the time to make anything with them. Here's my first card using one of the fairies. The Anime images are just too cute. I hope they come up with more. I also tried out my new Prima flowers from Roses on Paper. Happy Happy Joy Joy..

More Anya Cards...

I've never actually played with this set of Anyas yet, so I decided to take them out and actually use them. For some reason, I like this Anya in purple, so I tend to always use purple to color in her clothes. She just seems so stylish.

Dew drops- The Robin's nest This next Anya is so sweet! I decided to use more muted colors in one of my favorite color combinations- pink and brown. I don't know if you can tell, but I highlighted her hair using the gold glitter copics.

The more I used this Geisha Anya stamp, the more I like it. I ended up using my new gold glitter copic for the flowers and sleeves on her kimono. I like the way it came out- very subtle gold- reminds me of real kimonos. I don't think this photo shows how nice it came out. Try it out yourself and see how nice it looks in real life!

A Card For Akemi

My daughter just loves coloring in stamped images! Since I've been busy making a lot of cards, I'll stamp a couple of images for her to color in beside me. After she went to bed, I decided to make a card for her. I just got these cool Anime stamps from In Style Stamps. They are really really really cute! I chose this one because her names is Akemi.. just like my daugther. Since she is also learning how to read, I wrote to her inside the card using words I know she knows. She was thrilled to be able to read the card herself! A closer look at Akemi... After I gave my daughter the card, she decided to make a card for me! Here's the card she made... Can you tell she likes to use her glitter glue? I was so touched that she wanted to make a card for me! Thank you Akemi! If you haven't already checked out In Style Stamps, you should take a look.
