Hello Kitty Is Back!

Haven't played with my Hello Kitty dies in awhile and thought it was the perfect match to this deco strip flower. I had told Michele at Island Scrapbooking how it looks nice on the edge of the card, so I had to make her a sample. Decided to use my new MS double loop punch too so you can tell where the end of the front of the card is.

I don't think I've ever used this Hello Kitty Butterfly die before, so I thought I'd use it on this card since it matched the flowers.

A Present From Aunty

Hi Everyone,

Just thought I'd share this cute HK pocket calendar my Aunty Jan made for me. She knows I love Hello Kitty and I guess she knows I love pink and brown! I love the way she puts the project together, it seems so effortless. Anyway, I believe she got the calendars and holders from Photocraft. The best thing about it is that even after the calendar year is done, you can still re-use the cover! Thank you Aunty!

Sweet Lolli!

I've been making so many samples for Island Scrapbooking, that I can't keep up on my posting! I am pretty sure I haven't posted this one yet, so thought I'd share it with you today. Last year, I got inspired by Chalsie's creations for Valentine's Day and made a chocolate valentine heart bouquet similar to this one. This was much easier since I found these cute heart lollipops at Walmart.

At first, I was planning on using Hello Kitty, but then saw my Lolli Anya stamp and thought she would be perfect!

I decided to make some card samples for Island Scrapbooking using the new Hero Arts stamps. I really love these new little girls.. This one happens to be a wood block stamp, but I also have the clear set with more girls. The sentiment is from the clear set. I decided to keep it very simple and not use any DP for this card. Instead, I used an embossing folder to give it texture and kept the color combo to blue and green (one of my favorites). Out Of My Element

Yes, its true... you are at the right blog... Believe it or not, I can actually make a non-cute card! Anyway, for some reason I was drawn to this fern stamp by Hero Arts. I normally don't buy this type of stamp, but I just couldn't resist... something about it just called to me. I decided to make a Thank You card with it, but I think it would also be nice as a sympathy card too. I think this card took me all of 10 minutes to make- super easy but nice results. Easel Card Calendar

I guess the next step to take on the Easel card is to make it into a calendar! I had bought these mini calendars because I couldn't find the medium sized ones, then I went to another store and found them, so I now have extra mini calendars. They are the perfect size for these Easel cards.

Since I'm still on a Valentine's Day kick, thought I'd use my new CC's designs stamp! I just love her holding all those roses. Decided to go with red roses and dug through my scrap stash to find some coordinating paper. I love this paper but can't find the company since its old. Glad I could make use of the scraps! By the way- decided to go with the hanging file 0f scraps and did one for my solid colors and one for my DP. Seems to be working out good so far. AND I finally figured out a way to organize my Spellbinders! (hip hip hooray!) Leave a comment if you want to know my secret!

This doggie card was actually the first one I made. I think I made it wrong though... It looks funny when its opened... I forgot to put the other cardstock behind the red! Oh well. I like this doggie by Create In Me stamps. There are other animals that can peek out from the teacup too.

I can't believe my vacation is over. It was nice having a few extra days off with Akemi (they had waiver days after the break). I don't think I'm ready to got back to work after being off for over a week!
