Harry Potter Birthday Pix

As you can see from my lack of posts, that I've been super-de-duper busy!  In addition to finishing up all of my Sister Stamps Make 'n Takes, I also scheduled in family visits and a Harry Potter Birthday!  The birthday party was supposed to take place back in May, but no one could come, so we postponed it to July.  Even though many of her friends still couldn't come, whomever came had fun!  We had wand making, a potions bar- equipped with many ingredients to make any potion (i.e. unicorn blood, horklump juice, and troll bogey extract, etc.), fortune telling, Quidditch match, and a treasure hunt.  Phew!  That was a lot more activities than I thought, but everyone had fun.  Here's a few things I made for the party...

I didn't take a pix of the invitation, but each guest got their own "acceptance letter" to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry's Hilo Campus!!!  LOL!  That was my husband's idea.  I made this banner with the help of Island Scrapbooking (Thanks Michele for the letters).  The banner die was a PTI banner die set.

Here's a close up of the goodie bags I made.  I just love these Harry Potter Karber images.  I was lazy to color, so I just colored them on my computer, printed them up and used my Spellbinders to cut them out.  The owl was punched from the SU punch, but I added on the googly eyes that have springs, so they really pop!

I also decorated the cake using my SU owl punch.  Love that punch... wish I had bought it sooner!

It was a lot of work, but it sure was fun!  Hopefully more kids can come next time!

How fun and cool!! I would love to see how the Quidditch match was played!
Love the Karber Potter stamps too, just don't have any use for them right now.
I hope you're taking some time to rest in between your busy schedule. Sounds like it was lots of fun.

Themed birthday parties are a lot of work to put together, but so much fun! Harry Potter is such a neat theme...bet the potion bar, goody bags and cake were a big hit with the kids. Akemi is so lucky to have such a loving, crafty & creative mommy!
