Just Wanted To Say Thanks

Geez.. has it really been that long since I last blogged on this blog?  Sorry peeps... Work has kept me pretty busy.  I've actually been creating stuff here and there, but haven't been able to post regularly.  So in the next few days you'll be seeing what I've been up to.

Awhile back, the owner of Hanko Designs- Norm sent me some washi paper samples.  To thank him for sharing his new washi paper designs, I decided to make him a few cards that he could use as samples.  I kept them very simple cause I didn't have a lot of time and wanted to focus on quantity.  Here's what I came up with....

First up is one of our favorites- Kiyomi.  It amazes me that after all of our images that were released, she still continues to be one of our most popular!  The bridge die is by La La Land crafts and I've been dying to use it on a project.  It's just the right size to coordinate with our images.  Ended up using an Island Scrapbooking sentiment since it seemed to match perfectly.

And here's a better look at Kiyomi. She was a leftover sample from my advanced hair coloring class I taught last month.

Next up is Misaki.  This image is one of my faves.  She's so cute yah?  I guess you could say its actually Kiyomi playing with the birds.  I really like how this card turned out.  Used the curved design panel die which is a custom die by Hanko.  It allows you to use a washi paper that has a busy pattern without overwhelming your image. I gotta use it more often!

Finally, my last card features Harumi.  Because the washi was pretty busy, I decided to use a scallop circle to cut down on all the print.  That Arigato stamp was from the new Lawn Fawn Let's Roll set.  I love that set.  If you don't have it, you really should buy it!

And here's a close up of Harumi.

Be back soon with more projects to share!

Oooh...these are beautiful! I'm certain Norm and Hanko Designs will flip when he sees these three cards. I have to say that when I saw these papers posted on the Hanko site I wasn't too impressed. But now seeing them again on your cards, I'm thinking I might have to reconsider and place an order! Hard to tell from the photos on the site the size of the actual design, thought they were all too large, but now I see they're quite perfect for cards...thanks for posting this, Jenny!
