I'll be the first to admit that I did not get into the whole stencil craze. I took one class on Faux Cloisonne, years ago and never did that again. In fact, I was terrified to use stencils in projects because I'm such a messy crafter (I rip my tape if you know what I mean). Normally, you need to be very precise when stenciling and my projects always came out crappy.
So, now that it's years later, and Mixed Media is in the picture, I love using stencils!!! Mix media as a whole is very messy, which is right up my alley. But I'll get more into that in another post. The point is, that got me back into using stencils.
Awhile ago, Aunty Jan taught me how to make your own stencils which is a class she once taught at Photocraft when the store was still open. I picked out one of the cards she made and she told me she made it, so I asked her if she would teach it to me. Its pretty easy to do and I love the results!
So I'll be sharing this technique in a class at Island Scrapbooking later this month. Hope you can join me!

Pretty!!
As a whole I don't like using stencils, but if you can come up with something easy and share it I'll consider un-Earthing them. These are pretty and that sushi one is kawaii!!
Man I wish I was coming by to take the class... Hope you'll share the technique or YT video :D
Have a great weekend!
NICE cards Jenny. The sushi one makes me hungry.
