Pop Up Scrapbook Card

Hi All! Hope your week is starting out well. Worked on this card over the weekend. I had told Tracy about my idea and was dying to show it to her after I finished it last night. Since I wanted it to be a surprise, I didn't want to post it till I could show it to her in person. This is actually Teri's Pop Up Scrapbook that I scaled down to card size. Instead of using 12x12 paper, I used 8x8, so each square came out to a 4x4 size.
I didn't really intend to give this card to anyone, but since the girls at Island Scrapbooking have become my friends, I thought I'd give this to all of them...
Here's the first "page"... Caption says "Meeting new friends"
"Page" 2... "Who share"
"Page" 3.. "The same interests"
Finally- the last page... "as you!"
See, she's now with all of her new friends!
In case you are wondering, yes, I stamped the lanterns, stickled them, and then cut each one out. I then strung them using a lei needle. I poked holes in each page and knotted them so that the lanterns would stay in that section.
It actually didn't take as much time as I thought it would. Waiting for the stickles to dry took the longest.
Don't know if you can tell, but each doll actually pops out from the background. It reminds me of a little doll house. I guess that's why I decided to use the Japanese doll set by Hero Arts.
Supplies used:
Japanese girls- Hero Arts
Markers- Copics
Washi paper- Hanko designs
Cardstock- Bazzil
Sakura punch
Crystals- Hero Arts
Stickles
Gold cord
Ribbon
Dew Drops
Have a great week!

Awwwwww Jenny, I'm sure all the girls associatied with Island Scrapbooking feel the same way about you too; and are just as delighted to have you for a friend. By the way, the project actually looks 10 times better in person, so I can hardly wait to hear what all the Island Scrapbooking customers are going to say about it. I bet they get out these sets again!

Absolutely gorgeous! Great attention to detail! BTW, I made a magic card, but, it don't look to magical to me. My wand must be broken. So, I gotta try again!

That's so cute! Looks super complicated! I've been wanting that stamp set, might have to break down and get it now.
