Birthday Wishes & A Winner!

Wow... I'm pretty surprised that so many of you entered to win my blog candy!  I thought that no one really reads my posts, so if I didn't post a photo of the candy, no one would leave a comment and enter.  I guess I was wrong. You guys are reading this stuff aren't you?

So before I share who the winner of my giveaway is, I thought I'd share a quick card I made one night.  I had already distressed a bunch of backgrounds so that I could mass produce some cards, so I had it lying around just waiting to be finished.  While on my trip, I found an awesome store called Paper Source!  Thanks to Debi and Denise for telling me to go there.  It's not really a scrapbooking store- more like a stationary store. The washi paper immediately caught my eye and I had fun picking out so many new designs that I haven't seen before.  They also have their own line of stamps that I fell in love with.  The cherry blossom stamp featured on this card is by Paper Source. I stamped it in Versamark and added the gold mica powder to make it shine.  I also stamped the right side of the card using the same technique using a kanji background stamp by Hero Arts.  The sentiment is one of my new favorites by Papertrey Ink.  Debi used it on a Sister Stamps card earlier and I've been eyeing it every since!

You can check out the Paper Source online store here...

And now for the winner...

Congratulations to Mimi!  Thank you Mimi and everyone who left a comment on my blogaversary post!  And thank you for following me for the past 3 years... I wonder how long I will continue to blog my crafting journey?  Oh well... too much to think about now. I'll just enjoy it while I can!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween Everyone! I know, I've been very bad at posting here, but to see what I've been up to, check out the Sister Stamps blog. Today is your last chance to enter to win the new release stamps, so check out this post for more info on how to enter. So here's the Halloween goodies I made for some blogging friends when I visited Honolulu the other weekend. We had so much fun eating and talking that we shut the place down! They were turning off the lights and all! So much fun to see everyone. Can't wait till we can hang out again! Back to the project... Picked up these awesome dies and matching stamps from Papertrey Ink. They are quickly becoming my FAVORITE company! Anyway, I decided to emboss the faces onto the bag die and then added on their "accessories". Everyone seemed to like these cuties and the best part was that they didn't take that long to make! Thank you Cami, Linda and Aunty Jan for all the yummy goodies! See ya next time Kyoko! Hope you have a Happy Halloween!

Wreath For All Seasons

My Crafty Friends LOVE Papertrey Ink (PTI). I tried to resist as long as I could, but I finally broke down and went a bit crazy the past two months ordering from their new releases. This is one of the stamp sets I picked up from them called Wreath For All Seasons. All I did was emboss it in gold (along with the Peace sentiment) and add red rhinestones as the berries, and voila! A simple elegant card that literally took minutes to make. I love fast projects that come out nice. I really am getting old yah? Can't wait for my October order to arrive!
