Happy Belated Belated Birthday Liane!

Talk about a really really really late birthday card! I'm ashamed to tell you when my friend Liane's birthday really was.. so I won't! Anyway, since I'm sooooo late, I thought I should make this an extra special birthday card, so I "bear"ed down and made a double shaker. Used this cute bear cupcake image from TSRD and added the candle since it was a birthday card. The sentiment is by Hero Arts- I thought it matched really well since the shaker is like the sprinkles!
Here's another shot to show you the shaker part- microbeads in the front and dew drops in the back. Hope she liked it! Sorry it was so late Liane!

Happy Belated Birthday Debi!

My crafting buddy Debi recently celebrated a birthday and I was stressing out about making her a card. So much so that I kept putting it off, and now her birthday has past, so I was forced to make something! Anyway, since she makes AWESOME cards, I felt pressure making one for her.. It didn't come out exactly how I wanted it to, but since I'm so late, it'll have to do.
Decided to make a double shaker card that I learned from Teri's blog... I still have a hard time with it, so its not perfect. I know Debi will love this bunny stamp by LOTV, so I knew he would be the focal point of the card. I put the sentiment at the back layer and the bunny on the layer in between the two shakers and then flowers on the top of the card. Hope she likes it!
Here's a close up of the bunny...
Here's the bag I made to hold her gift.

Double Shaker Love

I looked at the Martha Stewart microbeads I bought earlier and never used and decided it was time to bust them out and actually use them. These microbeads come in a cute container that is user friendly (kinda like a salt/paper shaker but with a cover). I only bought a few colors, but I'm thinking I should go back and get the whole set. So I decided to tackle that double shaker box again... I've only made that once and it was a lot of work, so I haven't really been motivated to do it again till now. Joy (A Place to be Me) and Teri (Big Ideas From A Little Girl) make it seem so easy to make! Anyway, I had some extra fun foam, so I thought it would be fun to try to make it again. In the back layer, I used dew drops- which seem to work well. The first one I made I put in flowers, but the flowers don't seem to move around that nicely. Maybe it was the type of flowers I used. Anyway, I wanted the "shaker" effect, so I used dew drops, which worked out much bettter. This photo shows you that its a shaker box better than the first photo.
