Your Next Stamp Card Mingle

I'm definitely getting braver when it comes to swaps... Last month, I participated in my first one card swap, hosted by Teri. I guess it helps that the swaps I sign up for are not for mass producing the same card, I really like these one card swaps where you can spend more time on a card, rather than rush it and do a crappy job.
Here's the card I came up with for the Your Next Stamp's Card Mingle. Its the same as a one card swap. I was paired up with Ryann , who is actually a Design Team member for YNS. How intimidating! Well, I gave it a shot and here's what I came up with...
Its Trick or Treat Fhiona! And who does she have with her? Is it a ghost, or is it a balloon?
Here's a close up...
Even took the time to stamp on the inside!
Supplies:
Cardstock- Bazzil
Trick or Treat Fhiona, ghost, pumpkin and Happy Halloween- YNS
Boo sentiment- Hero Arts
Spiderweb embossing folder- Cuttlebug
Flourish punch- Paper shapers
Circle & scallop circle- spellbinders, circle punch
Glitter paper- Doodlebug designs
Markers- Copics
Hope you like it Ryann!

Sweet Delights Swap

Every year, our club holds an annual "Sweet Delights Swap", which is another name for a recipe exchange. Since I was so busy working on the card kits, I decided to make something that didn't require any baking whatsoever. Since everyone else would be making something sweet, I went for salty. Since everyone who tastes the seasoned pretzels loves them, I thought this would be a good recipe to share with everyone.
The pretzel sticks reminded me of french fries, so I decided to use my fry box to wrap them up in. I'm using this fry box for a lot of other projects, so this will be the only time I'm posting it.
Now here's the cool part... Since the instructions is so minimal- add ingredients then shake, I tried to see if it could fit on the back of a tag. Yay- it fit!
If you can't see the recipe and want it, please email me (email address on my side bar), I'd be happy to share it with you! Beware, they are really addicting!

A Weekend of Classes

Phew! Another busy weekend for me! I had two classes this weekend for a total of 3 card kits to prep. My Island Scrapbooking class was more difficult to prepare as it included instruction sheets along with the kits. The other two projects were easier but still took awhile to prep. Thank goodness I prepped all the kits ahead of time, otherwise I don't think it would have gone well at all.
I already shared the card that we made in my Halloween Slider card class, so I won't share that again. Here's one of the cards we did at my club meeting card class that was held today. I decided to do a simple card featuring Dandelion Designs. I just love Jean's stuff, its sooo cute! When I had planned the card, I didn't have the new Baxter Vampire stamp yet, so I made the sample using my witch stamp. Since I also had to do a card to show them how in the class, I decided to ink up Baxter. I just love him!
Here's a close up of the witch- she's a cutie too!
Here's Baxter using the same design. Everyone seemed to have trouble using the border punch, but after awhile, they seemed to get the hang of it. They also didn't know what Dew Drops were or how you would use them on a card, so they were happy to find out.
I'll post my other projects later on. Have a great week!

Fhiona Witch Shaker

Are you sick of Halloween stuff yet? I'm not, its just the beginning baby! Anyway, wanted to ink up my Fhiona Witch stamp from Your Next Stamps. Since I also bought some Halloween dew drops, thought I'd use them before its too late, so I decided to make a Halloween Shaker Card. Haven't made one in awhile and it shows...I really struggled with it. Guess I need to practice more on shaker boxes.
Here's a close up so you can see how cute Fhiona is!
Supplies:
Fhiona Witch- Your Next Stamp

Itty Bitty Betty and Bobby

I was soooo happy to get the new Pink Cat Studio Itty Bitty Betty and Bobby Halloween stamp set! When I went to Honolulu, I only had time to go to one store and I was told they were all out... My friend Debi went to Honolulu after me and came back with the set for me! Yippee! Thanks Debi!
Used my favorite spiderweb punches again to frame the image. Since the webs make it very busy, I decided not to put anything else on the card that would distract from the image. Hope you like it!
Supplies:
Itty Bitty Betty & Bobby- PCS
Spiderweb punches- Martha Stewart
markers- Copics
Dew Drops
Cardstock- Bazzil

Late Again..

Well, today was World Cardmaking day, so I decided to celebrate with paper crafters around the world and made a card.... I know, its pretty late and the day is pretty much over for everyone but us here in Hawaii, but that still counts, right?
Anyway, I'm still on my Halloween kick, so I made this card using one of my new CC's Designs Halloween Digis. I just love using green for witches skintones.. reminds me of the Wizard of Oz. I also wanted to use my new MS Bat punch. Since I normally make my butterflies flutter, I decided to make my bats flutter too! Sometimes its nice to make a simple card yah?
Supplies used:
Witch digi- CC's designs
markers- Copics
Frame die- Spellbinders
Bat punch- Martha Stewart
Ribbon

Pink Elephant Challenge

So, I've totally never done a challenge before, but thought I'd enter for the hell of it since it turns out my card meets all of the criteria! Yay! I really didn't plan it that way, but the requirements for the challenge was that you had to use a punch, a tag, and something with dots. I had printed up a bunch of new digis I bought from Two Scoops Rice recently and wanted to make some Halloween cards with them. I also wanted to use my new punches now that Teri showed me how to use them correctly. Thank you Teri! Check out the details on the challenge here.. Prize is provided by Your Next Stamp!

Ghost digi- Two Scoops Rice
Trick or Treat sentiment- Dandelion Designs
Spiderweb corner and border punch- Martha Stewart

Woo Hoo!

Like my new look? My blogwear that is... I love it! Special thanks to Claudette from Islander Girl Stampin for the blogwear!! I entered her blogwear giveaway and won this awesome background and banner. I just love the sweetie!! Can't wait till they are made into rubber! Please join me in encouraging her to hold a class for all of us bloggers to learn how to make our own backgrounds too. I'd make a special trip to Honolulu for that!
