Beach Calendar

Since I had a bunch of these cute beach themed papers, I decided to make a calendar featuring them. Also had the matching stamps and some other beach themed dies/punches, so added those to embellish the project. Here's what I came up with.. gotta remember that not everyone likes Hello Kitty right?

You Warm My Heart

Island Scrapbooking got in some new Greeting Farm stamps recently and I went a little crazy. Guess I haven't bought TGF in awhile, so it was fun to buy some of the new images. I picked up the set called I Heart Sweaters, which also comes with a Ian stamp. Made this card in a hurry for Craft Night last Friday- theme was to make a card in a Fall theme, so I thought this stamp would be perfect to use. To make it look more like fall, I chose fall colors. The tree die is by Sizzix and instead of cutting the leaves in green, I decided to cut it from red and orange. Added the sentiment on a heart since it says "You Warm My Heart". Not bad for a 15 minute card! I think what took the longest was trying to find my tree die! It was nice taking a break from all that calendar making, but now I must get back to work.

Class Calendar

A couple of weeks ago, I taught a wall calendar class at Island Scrapbooking. This is the calendars we made in the class. I wasn't sure how long it would actually take to make these, so I budgeted about 3 hours, but since I had pre-cut and punched a lot of the stuff for them, we only took 2 hours to finish everything. Decided to go with my favorite Doodlebug papers since they all coordinate well together. All of the months were from Island Scrapbooking- thank goodness because I think I would have went crazy if I had to cut them all myself! Thanks Michele!

Hot Pink Kitty Calendar

Are you having a nice Veteran's day? I sure am! I decided to take off on Friday too, so I have a nice 4-day weekend ahead with no classes! Woo hoo! Anyway, gotta get busy making more calendars right? I decided to mass produce my Hello Kitty's and spent a good two nights just sitting in front of my Big Shot cranking them out. It was a little frustrating to do all that work with nothing to show for it, but after I had all of them done, I was able to crank out several calendars in one day! Yay! Here's one of the calendars I made using my favorite pink, black and white combo. Its very similar to the red, black and white one I shared with you earlier, just different colors. Eventually, my calenders will start to look alike as I use the same images, so I won't be posting all of my creations (don't want you to get bored). Hope you like it! Have a great weekend!

Birthday Cards

Just wanted to share some B-day cards & goodies that I received from some talented ladies. First one is from my cousin Laura. Thanks for this cute card! She used some kind of cool pen on the cakes that you can't tell from the photo... the ink looks metallic. Next up is a sweet card from my dear friend K.I. Her real name is Karen but we call her K.I. since there are always at least 2 Karens around. She always contacts us Mauna Loa girls whenever its someone's b-day and coordinates the get together. I'm so junk now days... keep missing all the fun. Hope to get together with you all soon! The next two goodies are from my Island Scrapbooking girls. Michele surprised me with all these goodies including the new Anya Lounge set! :) Not shown here was a TRUCK LOAD of calendar months to help me make all my calenders. Thanks Michele! And from Kelli... I guess she must've seen these in my pile of stuff that I wanted to buy at the store. Thanks Kelli! You are so sweet to get these for me! Can't wait to ink them up! I guess now that you know it was my b-day that that's why I had a blog candy giveaway! I will pick a name soon and post the winner of my candy. Thanks to all of you who took the time to enter!

October Tag Swap

Hi Everyone! Just a reminder that today (Wed) is the last day to enter my blog candy! All you gotta do is post a comment on the original blog candy post (click here) to be eligible.
And thank you all so much for all your kind feedback on my calendars and sister's artwork. Your feedback seems to be working and I am working on getting her to think about selling her stuff. I told her she owes it to the crafting community! :) hee hee hee. Only joking sis. Until then the only way you can get your hands on these is if you come to my craft fair! :)
Speaking of my craft fair... it will be on Saturday, December 4th. If you are interested in coming, email me so I can send you the directions. Hope I have enough stuff to fill my booth! I guess I should've started earlier on my projects.
Oh yah, we have a few crafters who will be joining me on the 4th. Susan will be selling her oh so cute ornaments and other crafty items, Jodie will be making her gorgeous beaded jewelry, and Jenny (yes another Jenny) will be making some paper crafts projects. Oh yah- can't forget Akemi who will be selling lemonade (the whole reason I'm crazy enough to do this craft fair) and DH will have butter mochi pick up at our fair. Phew! Did I leave anyone out?? Oh yah, Michele may also have some handmade papercrafts to sell as well.
OK- enough advertising for now... on to the purpose of this post... Just wanted to share the Christmas Tags I got from Kyoko's Tag Swap. My partner last month was Leanne. She made these really cute snowman tags! I love how she embellished them with mini pom poms. So cute! Thanks Leanne!
The tag swap is done for the year, but maybe Kyoko will keep it up next year?? We'll see. You'll have to check her blog later to see if she has sign ups after the new year begins. Thanks Kyoko for coordinating this fun swap! Oh and just saw that Linda will no longer be hosting the monthly one card swap (wah!). If anyone is interested in hosting it, please check out her blog. Wish I could take this on but I'm overloaded as it is. Hope someone out there will help to keep this cool swap going.
